  1. QUOTE(quickman @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) Hey on that subject and especially for saturday will there be a sox thread for the Fest. I see one now that has hundreds of posts, can you guys start a new one for the weekend notes? Yes? Please? That would be great if some people who get to go could let the rest of us know how it's going. The general atmosphere, individuals' moods, anybody being noticably out of shape, whether AJ farts, or any surprise signings.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) The most expensive one is that new Myphi. I got it for christmas from my parents cause it was made for like everything. The problem was it had horrible reception so I returned it for a far cheaper one. Any idea why the reception was so bad?
  3. If anybody who has XM has any suggestions on which model of receivers I should get, please visit the thread in SL&P and throw in your 2 cents.

    XM RADIO

Hey all, being an out of town Sox fan, I am very excited about the XM Radio/MLB deal that is starting this season. However, I am having a hard time figuring out which model of tuner I should get. I want to be able to listen at home, in my car, and at work, if possible. If anybody who has XM could offer any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  5. I vote yes on size restrictions.
  6. Thank you. Was it necessary to do that before the upgrade?
  7. Maybe they would give up Jose Valentin. He would fill our utility IF hole rather well. Why is my green not working?
  8. Isn't he also playing for a new contract? Which I really don't believe is his only motivation, but hey, any reason for a SOX player to play harder is a good reason.
  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) I don't know, but all of a sudden, is Bonds too old to break Aaron's record? We can only hope, or .
  10. QUOTE(whitesox91403 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) I totally agree, but I can see Freddy getting it also because it would break up the string of 4 staright right handed starters. There will be 4 righties in a row regardless of how the rotation starts.
  11. IF there were to be a suprise signing announcement during Soxfest, would it be at the start, or during the KW Q&A part?
  12. Anything was better than those ugly C's from the late 80's.
  13. If we win the division this year, will everyone then agree that this was a good trade?
  14. Who knows what's really going on with all this. I think we'll just have to wait until we hear from the moth person.
  15. Screw Mr. Consonant. We don't want him stealing the ball when we sin the series this year.
  16. I think I am going to wait for the car magnets.
  17. It will be difficult to win in New England and Pittsburgh in back to back weeks.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) I'm with aboz on this one. Also how is it the red sox ball, the game was played at busch stadium, the cardinals provided the ball not the red sox. This is doug's ball not boston's. Doesn't MLB provide the balls?
  19. Since it's all speculation anyway, why not go for Feliz instead? He can play 3 IF positions, and he's probably cheaper.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 02:18 PM) I'm holding off till Fest, because by then the Sox will have made their final move. Which is next weekend right? So we should have 1 more move this week.
  21. QUOTE(Winnin Ugly @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 10:55 AM) It is being reported here in San Fran on KNBR that the Whitesox are very intersted acquiring Ray Durham from the Giants. Not to sure who the Giants are asking for in return... I wouldn't mind seeing Ray come back, how much $$$ does he make?
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 7, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) he seems to be a pretty good hitter just a free swinger... Ozzie really seems to like him though so odds of him making the team are pretty decent. I think Ozzie sees a bit of him of himself in Valdez. Ozzie wasn't one to watch many pitches go by.
  23. QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jan 7, 2005 -> 08:40 AM) Andy Hawkins threw a no-hitter against the Sox, and the Sox beat the Yankees 3-0. 1990 was my favorite year because that team really refused to stay beat, and that day was just surreal. Didn't the Sox starter (possibly Hibbard) have a no-hitter going into the 7th or 8th that game?
