I truly don’t get the mindset of giving out the biggest contract in franchise history only to turnaround and trade your best reliever. I’m hopeful this signals that they are going for it (at least in White Sox terms) and that more move are coming to improve the team, not hurt it.

At these rates the White Sox may never sign a player ever again.

To be fair, we have no information that they are not conducing a full search. I get not giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems like no one really knows anything yet.
