  1. After reading this thread I'm glad you guys set me straight. Our pitchers are in the business of hitting batters, not getting them out. Just like last year when we won the World Series! Look, I like bean wars as much as the next guy if not more, but to publicly humiliate a rookie reliever who actually is a pretty decent pitcher with great stuff and little control and who also delivered an out, makes no f***ing sense to me. This is one of the only times I'm going to have to disagree with Ozzie big time and the way he handled things.
  2. I thought the whole reason why they didn't complete the color change for the seats was because they were going to reangle them.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 09:28 AM) Uribe doesn't need Hriniak, or anyone else. What he needs to do is listen to what he is being told, and try to implement it, instead of doing the same old thing. Its obvious they keep trying to fix Juan, but for whatever reason he doesn't make the adjustments. IIRC, that is the exact reason that Colorado had no problem with dumping him for Aaron Miles. Sure listened when he was told to implement a legkick pretty quickly.
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 07:02 PM) Isn't Greg Walker the one that everyone credits for Crede's turn around? That is what I have heard at least. Besides Uribe and Anderson, who is not hitting on this team anyway? This is the most ridiculous post I have seen yet. He's also the guy who f'd up Crede's swing in the first place IIRC. He's the one who tried to make his swing much more complex than it originally was on Crede's way up through the minors. Uribe also didn't spin himself out when he was doing the leg kick which Frank and Hriniak taught him late last season. I don't like Walker as a hitting coach. He preaches too much pulling and swinging for the fences IMO.
  5. Lay off tigerfan. Unless he says, "f the sox", let him stick around. I don't see the problem. He's just as friendly as benchwarmerjim was.
  6. Wood would not go in that deal. Hell, I remember them not wanting to give up Wood for Manny Ramirez. I don't see why they would give him up for a lesser player.
  7. QUOTE(G&T @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 04:20 PM) It also could create a hole in the fifth starting spot for next year. I doubt Garland will be back. I'm pretty sure Garland wouldn't be dealt if McCarthy was traded. Therefore, how would McCarthy being traded be relevant?
  8. HELL f***IN YEA! TO ALL THE SOX, EVERYONE DID THEIR JOB TODAY AND DESPITE FACING AN ACE PITCHER, WE CAME THROUGH AND WON! HONESTLY EVERYONE DID A FINE JOB!
  9. HE DIDNT EVEN TAG HIM WITH THE BALL BEFORE MACKS LEG TOUCHED THE PLATE!
  10. Leave the guy alone. I don't think he's trying to be malicious. It's definately news we would like to know and be updated on. I mean, we are chasing them in the race. He's giving us info. Leave tigerfan alone.
  11. Damn, that was the pitch to hit too.
  12. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) But it tastes soooooooo good in this situation doesn't it? Sure does. I'll take that any day.
  13. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) I don't like Pods here. He has a terrible BA. Well then, I'm eating crow.

  15. Another man on base just to toy with us. :cries:
  16. Well it's just not our day. I think it's safe to say that we aren't going to win this one.
  17. Simple base hit. Don't swing for the fences, just a base hit. C'mon Jim!
  18. Mack hustles it out and Peralta just underhands it slowly.
  19. Hopefully we could actually hit him.
  20. Wow, they compare Turner to Shaun Livingston.
