QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 06:27 AM) Maybe Gilbert isnt as crazy as he is stupid http://deadspin.com/5442282/crittenton-coc...taking-the-fall Holy s***. Singing while loading a gun? That's a little too Falling Down. But there's more: Wizards' Arenas suspended indefinitely as new details emerge in gun incident Yeah, all I've been hearing that Arenas has been trying to take the heat off of Crittenton. No way they end up voiding his contract either. The player's union would never allow it. -
Whatever happened to Ryan Wagner. He was supposed to develop into a nice piece.

I voted Dawson.

In the NBA, you either win a trade or you lose a trade. Very rarely do you get equal value. So either the Rapts will take something less than they thought Bosh was, or some team will overpay for him and give them much more than what he's actually worth. With that said, I wouldn't believe this rumor at all. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 04:56 PM) Yeah, its strange that in a time where U of I is having to open up their books regarding preferential treatment that they would allow a convicted felon to attend for free. Maybe he was truly rehabilitated. Could've happened. Anyway, can he play? Also Matt Elam seems to be flip flopping. He committed to Florida, committed to FSU, and rumor has it, he will decommit from FSU to commit back to Florida even though he's denying it at this time. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 07:34 PM) No, not midseason firing and hiring. end of season. And I dont think Martz would get it, but I would not want the distraction that happened in Detroit and San Fran If I was a Bears fan, I would. The Bears need a revamped offense IMO. The best candidate other than Martz would be Terry Shea. He was everyone's favorite until Grossman got injured in game 2 or 3 and lost for the season. Then it was learned that unless you have a cannon for an arm, you couldn't run the offense. I think he got a raw deal, but I know the Bears wouldn't dare bring him back. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 07:24 PM) If Lovie was gone, he would be lobbying for the newly created opening at head coach, just like he did in Detroit, and just like he did in San Fran. It makes perfect sense. And are Martz and Lovie buddies? Or did they just coach on the same team together? They are actually buddies. He lobbied for the Bears to hire him. Also, with the whole 2011 thing looming, the Bears won't fire Lovie midseason to hire Martz. If they're going to fire him, it's going to be for Cowher. -
I don't know why the Cards gave him that much. They were bidding against themselves in this case.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 06:09 PM) im worried if Martz comes in its going to be another percieved attempt at a power play by Martz. In both Detroit and San Fran there was a lot of talk that he was doing behind the scenes angling for the HC job and that led to his dismissal because he wasnt concentrating on his own job I don't see that in Chicago for a couple of reasons. He knows if the Bears don't perform, Lovie is gone, so there wouldn't be much angling to do anyway. Also, Lovie is his buddy. I don't think he would screw over Lovie for that fact alone. -

Can someone give me some input on Perry and what makes him so great? I don't know much about the guy. Also, as long as you have speed, you'll fit in with Martz as a WR. Look at guys like Yo Murphy, Az Zahir Hakim, etc for evidence. I think Martz is the perfect fit, especially for Matt Forte as a receiver out of the backfield. No matter what, the Bears need an Oline though. -

I liked TNA more tonight in terms of overall show. If it wasn't for Bret, I honestly would've watched the Bulls game over the WWE. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) We just dont see eye to eye. This Styles/Angle match has been brutal, and I wasnt flipping back and forth. Angle is a shell of his former self. I think you need to understand that you are about to see the same thing that brought down WCW, because thats what Im seeing here To each their own I guess. I really think this Angle/Styles has been a heck of a match for a Monday Nighter. This type of match does remind me of a WCW main event on Nitro before they got stale. Great match. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 09:46 PM) Bears will announce their coaching changes tomorrow. I'm almost banking Lovie will be back. It'll be interesting to see if Turner will also. I doubt Pep Hamilton will be back. I just hope IF Lovie is back, he stops with the whole hire your buddies bullcrap. If they're stating their announcing their changes tomorrow, that means Lovie is back, else it would've been leaked already. Turner is going to be the fall guy as well as Pep Hamilton. Wouldn't surprise me if they bring in Zorn as a QB coach, and Martz, not because he's Lovie's friend, but he would be able to fully utilize the Bears' offense strengths which is speed. Also, I could see Rod Marinelli becoming the new defensive coordinator tomorrow or someone other than Lovie, but who still runs the cover 2. -

I think people need to understand. The whole point of TNA tonight with these old guys is to show and get in peoples' minds that even though they think their in the club, that's not how it's going to work. So all these guys trying to gain entrance because their Hogan's friends, are going to have a much harder time finding out that it doesn't matter. Hence, the Nasty Boyz not being on the list. Dixie was promised not the stale show that led to the downfall of WCW as long as she brought along Eric with Hogan. That's the point with Jarrett having to earn his keep. Same with the nWo. So far, I've liked TNA's show much better overall than WWE's minus the Bret Hart segments and Jerishow. And that's because Bret Hart is my favorite wrestler ever. BTW, this AJ and Angle match is great. -

The show has been pure energy on TNA. Styles was pumped, but he needs better mic work. Double J back. Styles and Angle wrestling will be an awesome coming out party for Styles. I guarantee you Orton vs Kofi goes up against that and Kofi will have his greatest match ever as well. -

So basically WWE is going to copy TNA's show, but try to show they have better of everything that TNA has. Maryse is hot, but apparently, whenever the Knockouts show up, they're spose to be showing Maryse. -

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 08:14 PM) WOw Hogan + Eric Bischoff really turned up the heat for TNA. Excellent promo. Hopefully these changes really change it. I'm rewinding it and watching it now. I was watching the Hitman(my favorite wrestler of all time), and I didn't like Shawn Michaels and Bret hugging and dapping. I wanted Bret to put him in a sharpshooter. -
