  1. I've gone from discussing how Giolito was the top prospect who scared me to now thinking people are going way too far on other end on him. We saw with Rodon, these guys take time to develop. MLB hitters are good.
  2. Pretty brutal Jamison Fisher review too.
  3. Westworld was fine but man the security trying to shoot the robots in the westworld headquarters was james bond henchman level bad. "Let me continue running up to you even though I see you have a gun pointed at me and never shoot" *gets shot* "Okay well he was shot but i can get closer to shoot ...." *gets shot* "Well they were shot because they weren't close enough" *gets shot*
  4. QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 09:15 AM) Astros and Nats trying hardest to acquire Sale Joel Sherman to me has been the most indispensable reporter this offseason (all the time). His analysis is spot on in terms of describing what teams should do, what they are likely to do, and what is happening on the rumor mill. Except you have to read the NY post
  5. I would take Abreu for Kopech and Swihart and some 19 year old pretty quickly.
  6. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 4, 2016 -> 10:19 PM) There are still packages out there I would take without a true untouchable. The Nationals could build something around Giolito, Robles, & Lopez. The Astros could build something around Martes, Reed, & Tucker. Obviously I'd prefer getting a package headlined by a Bregman or Benintendi, and would push hard for it if I was Hahn, but the packages mentioned above would still be wins for us IMO. I'm sure I'm in the minority on this one though. No I'm with you. Problem it requires great scouting by white Sox to hit on the right next level quantity package.
  7. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Dec 4, 2016 -> 03:48 PM) I love this. "TOTAL SPECULATION" What a scoop He's just analyzing. People will assume everything he says is from inside sourcing so he lets you know if it's just his opinion.
  8. Man kudos to Matt Barkley though. Stretches like these earn you millions as that dope NFL backup role . He is a Josh Bellamy brain fart away from a 2-1 record.
  9. Something from last week got me. Showed bears and titans record since 2014 and bears only won 2 more games or so, yet in that time period Titans had better draft position every year including a #2 overall pick which got them their qb of future. These meaningless wins just kill me.
  10. Ugh. Stupid Eddie Goldman and developing well at the worst time to sack kaepernick for loss of thirty. This is kinda hard tbh.
  11. I've never actually rooted against bears until today.
  12. Jeff Fisher. Jeff Fisher.
  13. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Dec 4, 2016 -> 01:27 AM) For real, I wonder if Hahn is waiting until Jansen, Melancon, and Chapman to sign and the like "Oh, you missed out on those $15M+ relievers? I got one here only making $12.5M. What chu got?" Just imagine, with that 3 million in savings they could sign their very own Avisail Garcia!
  14. QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 3, 2016 -> 05:25 PM) They signed Weiters too? I think that is the posters recommendation per his last sentence to acquire a true C
  15. I don't have a prediction but will be interesting to me on the lesser profile guys if traded if Sox look for higher upside younger players or players closer to majors. A guy like Jennings unlikely to get you a top 100 prospect, do you get a payer more likely to contribute at majors or a dynamic arm you like but is only 18-19?
  16. Let's bring back Erik Johnson!!!
  17. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 06:37 PM) It's a position in which the Sox have depth that can at least replicate Lawrie. $3 million here, $4 million there. it adds up. And the Sox have squandered a lot with such signings of bad players. What depth? He may play 2nd or 3rd and I'm not clammoring to get Sanchez time.
  18. Glad for this. Need some MLB players and he's cheap.
  19. QUOTE (Dunt @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 04:46 PM) I would rather just give Liriano and Coats the corners next year if this is a full rebuild Don't worry, Avi can still be the DH.
  20. The thing that pisses me off about this is one) it risks war carelessly for no reason, taipei has been prudently avoiding confrontation for a while and two) I can totally see this resolving by China offering a nice deal to trump on land lease in Shanghai/Hong Kong.
  21. guys, you are being unreasonable, how would he know trump intl is building hotels there? Ivanka runs that business!
  22. WOW shows how much I keep up with any Padres, his slashline last year would have embarrassed the white sox offense
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 04:18 PM) For Pedro Avila, #23 Nats prospect Thanks. And 1000 white sox should look at derek norris threads from the past 4 years evaporate into smoke... unless White sox trade sale to Nationals for DEREK NORRIS and prospects
