  1. Nice. I am also not watching the game so I wouldn't put much stock in my insights.
  2. QUOTE (Blackout Friday @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:50 PM) Obviously Robertson for the 9th....who fills the gap today, you think? Duke?
  3. I think at the very least I'm happy that witH Saladino we have a player that can truly play 3 positions well and we feel comfortable can put together an at bat.
  4. I think I liked Flowers more than most be he was just as capable of 0-60 stretches and was really not that good at keeping balls in front of him or throwing runners out. Avila does just look straight up broken down though.
  5. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:25 PM) Who/what does Thibs trade for Jimmy? More like Deng.
  6. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:02 PM) This helps the Bears, especially if Cleveland takes Lynch at #8. Goff Wentz Tunsil Elliott Ramsey Bosa Stanley Lynch Hargreaves Treadwell If you sub Bosa for Buckner, the Bears are in prime position to land Buckner or Bosa. Hell, maybe they even then trade back to 15 and pick up another 3rd and 6th and still perhaps get WJ3, Decker, Lawson, Dodd, etc. I will be shocked if the top ten looks anything like that. Especiallly Treadwell top 10.
  7. I hope Thibs does great. From that Simmons interview, it looks like that time off did him well and allowed him to solidify some good contacts.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:11 PM) The shoulder injury is what really cost Rauch. Oh definitely.
  9. So glad I didn't follow prospects closely back then. Not sure I could have handled having two prospects like Rauch and Borchard bomb so badly.
  10. That's crazy. WE need to keep sending this info to the sox as the in game experience this year has been noticeably bad. It's not fair to the fans dedicated enough to go in miserable weather to also deal with poor fan experience.
  11. Would be great if the Jets get antsy and trade to Bears spot to grab lynch.
  12. Wow. I seriously cannot believe THIS year's draft allowed the top two teams to get such sweet packages.
  13. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 12:46 PM) I'm not interested in voting for anyone on either side this year but it doesn't mean that I wouldn't be in the future. If your complaint is with the 6 month requirement in NY that is excessive. But I think a 2-4 week cutoff is reasonable. That still allows you to register.
  14. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 10:40 AM) If we send Avi down and bring Leury over Sanchez... yikes I think we benefit more from Sanchez every day, fine with Leury being first up due to his speed + positional versatility.
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 11:34 AM) Because having to link yourself to one side is f***ing lunacy. I am a fiscal conservative and social liberal. I'm voting for Gary Johnson but why shouldn't someone be able to vote for whoever they want in a primary? It doesn't make any sense. I just don't understand this. It's the primary to decide who will be the party's nominee for the actual election. If this is an issue, shouldn't it also be a problem that you can only choose one ballot? Why shouldn't anyone voting for primary be allowed to vote for the democrat and republican candidate? The primary's, aside from creating candidates for the GE, are choosing someone to essentially lead that party. I get not making it hard for people to vote, but I don't get the idea that someone who has said they are specifically not a democrat or republican deserves the right to be a part of that process.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) Hamilton to stay on $10; Tubman replacing Jackson Wonder how much that Hamilton play influenced this change? Originally, Hamilton was supposed to be gone and Andrew "Trail of Tears" Jackson was to remain on the $20. I am certain it was the play, and thank goodness. I actually read that biography recently (I had heard it was fairly run-of-the-mill biography but I thought the writer did a very good job, albeit had to make a lot of paragraphs like "one could imagine Hamilton meeting x person here for the first time" since Hamilton had so little documentatio of his life before the army. I loved it. Loved the Aaron Burr being a whiney baby stories too.
  17. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) The play had nothing to do with it. $20s are much more common than $10s and there would have been complaints of racism and sexism if they put her on the $10. Great insights.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 09:20 AM) That would leave the White Sox without a back up IF on the bench. If one were to get hurt, we'd lose the DH to put Rollins in. Send down Avi bring up Carlos or Leury
  19. I don't have a problem with closed primaries but the six month thing can change. Waiting for Sanders supporters to rail against undemocratic caucuses also hurting their cause, though.
  20. Maybe since April night games are so brutal they wanted them in day. I also think our string of 18 straight games was with assumption 4-5 would rain out
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:18 PM) If the season ended today, would Mat Latos win the Cy Young? If the season ends today they are renaming it the Mat Latos
