Joel Booker was demoted, not quite sure. With goodwin maybe there and mendick in chicago maybe there was less outfield time than they expected
  4. ...not gonna lie I can't figure out who is betwene dylan cease and madrigal
  5. it's a bit of david robertson syndrome. He's been good, but not as electric as we thought. Happens with bullpen though. You have to pay a lot just to maintain the last years success, it's just a sinkhole of a position. To get near the success of Colome last year (no blown saves) we had to pay a lot more, because had we paid colome he'd have been terrible. There's no easy answer there for sure.
  6. I know offensively they just aren't where they were, and that team definitely is 10x better when they get buxton, but also just kinda confirms to me that you may get lucky once or twice stitching together a good starting rotation out of the B and C free agents, but you can't consistently do that. It'll bite.
  7. let's see if we can get through post game and still be able to just talk about how this team kicks ass at baseball.

Congrats to Zach Remillard Was a senior draft pick out of the Coastal Carolina championship team. Has been good not great at every level, seems like a winner and a versatile guy. Sox have kept him around and he did seem to get a lot of run in mlb camp. hope he continues to produce, easy guy to root for.
  9. I can't look... also literally can't watch so that's fine.
  10. this is not a bad idea. Vaughn used to pitch.
  11. Which was typical gio last year. I wonder if some of the stuff he was working on to help him start games stronger is what messed him up?
  12. basically whenever we have a serious injury he pops up.
  13. I miss that sox comic strip. He'd have a lot of material.
  14. At this point though, him meatball defending his players by throwing at the other team is like 1000x better, and I say that as someone who absolutely wants that out of the game. But it's like if tony went from robbing banks to just shoplifting batteries. Much better.
  15. Nobody gives a shit about baldelli. What a pathetic attempt to grapple with your embarrassing defense of La Russa that you are trying to make Tony throwing his player under the bus okay because he didn't call out baldelli for defending his player...which you think is good, but even though apparently you think that you don't see how that applies to tony not defending his players Incredible pretzel you can hold your brain in.
  16. I don't know. It's one of the reasons where I just want to draw a line. I don't really even mind if Tony doesn't like swinging 3-0 there, that's ok. He crosses into being an idiot when he airs that dirty laundry into the public, goes even farther by apologizing to the twins, and then drives off a cliff when he allows his player to be thrown at and actually says it's a good thing to do.
  17. If I was Baldelli I'd do nothing. If I'm the league I'm fining baldelli and scrub pitcher If I'm TLR I stick up for nobody coming after my players And if I'm cranky TLR that actually is upset about my player not taking his sign, I'm addressing it in the clubhouse but not mentioning it to media.
  18. Yes. It is one thing to be cranky about swinging 3-0 when you said to take, but to go so far as to be okay with another team punishing him for it? That is another level. In "family" dynamics, you can say something about your brother/family, but you don't let other people talk crap about it. Basically TLR going to the neighborhood kids and asking them to beat up his son because he didn't like how he talked back to him this morning.
  19. Actually screamed
  20. If we want to get rid of TLR there is only one option. @Kalapse - make the Tony LaRussa soxtalk banner
  21. It is remarkable but yes I am now okay if ozzie fell into the manager position this year. Extremely embarrassed.
  22. Tony breaking the trust of his players will have consequences he must endure within the family. And my within the family I mean publicly and by members outside the family. It is therefore only fair that the sox players strategically place rakes constantly near where Tony is standing today to recreate the following:
  23. was actually thinking Goodwin (who homered!)
  24. I was super excited post-Ozzie when there was rumors that Konerko as player-manager was being considered. It may have never been real but come on. If there is one thing we have learned from the last few years of white sox baseball is that managers can only hurt baseball teams. You could hire a team dad and outsource in game management to text voting from the fans like it's love island and probably be around the same level as an mlb manager.
