Yeah, the flipping middle relievers was not particularly interesting. But at least it should be heartening that it does not take much talent to acquire relievers having pretty good seasons at the trade deadline.

well yeah, there will be several more signings, but the major additions (i.e. discussions around Diaz) I'd imagine are over. Still plenty of MILB and depth pieces. Nothing to rest on pins and needles.

Figured Cishek was most likely scenario. I'd like to see them give some milb deals, have mentioned tony cingrani before. Still would like to go after Salazar as well. They may have expensive mlb call up numbers around 2-3 mill but if they are not injured they offer good potential for K men in bullpen. Still would be interested in Kennedy, but also look at a guy like aaron sanchez for bullpen. If his well dries up he may reach for what he can. Same for smyly, if going to bullpen increases his fastball, he could be interesting.

Not that surprising, he was a 1 year, 2.5 mill guy the year before. One of the reasons i was so against the yolbert deal.

I also think we are at a point of the offseason where people tend to overrate what's the presumed "top" of what's available. Once Betances was off the board, the options for what sox needed were all of a pretty similar quality.
