This is where I feel like the budget play for them will be at midseason expiring deals. They just aren’t in danger in this division enough to have to fix the issues they had in the playoffs with a big swing.

Getz: same trash players but financially optimized for JR

I’d go giants.

yes

I think the question though is just looking for teams that are probably close to max spending and just have a few needs. With Cubs, they may come into play, but not until the board is more resolved. But I guess I would say I think the NL central is more likely to trade for him than AL east

I am crying laughing at this. I have never heard this full story: fast forward to :55 seconds to avoid some small talk.

this doesn't sound bad.

This is why I mentioned grissom as maybe a three team deal that could bring some top 200 position player. If I could describe a team I wouldn't want to trade Cease to, it would be one with their top 7 prospects all being pitchers. I'm open to a pitcher being the top piece, but I'd prefer a team like the Giants who could offer a different top 40 pitcher, but then give some top 250 position player prospects (even if Luciano not included)

Maybe I'm just a sensitive bears fan, but I really dislike how NFL media enjoys a good pile-on when a team is down. NFL commentary boils down to "Good teams great oh my god so great! Bad teams bad oh my god trash"

I don't really understand the point of this tweet.

I think while it's unfair to give a coach a bad roster and a rookie QB and fire them year one... I also think it was clear that since Reich lost Steichen his offense had gone down the tubes, he had no run scheme, and was not a good coach. Him doing the Nagy of giving up playcalling, then taking it back, was clearly a death knell especially after another brutal offensive day.

Absolutely, always interesting to see a player his age whether they'll try to get some more playing certainty into the decade. But instead he got better pay per year. I think both sides probably prefer that.

I was thinking he'd get a small bump on that Toronto Ryu deal from back in the day, but no looks like nobody went 4 years on it.

woof. Perhaps this is a 3-way trade where Atlanta sheds a piece others like, like Grissom. Atlanta's system is barren.

As low of an opinion I have of Getz... I think the reality is the sox are of so little interest that writers are just bringing up trash that doesn't make sense because they are only interested in the Reds getting someone (who are interesting) and are backfilling an idea where they know the Reds can trade India. And they don't care that it doesn't make sense about the white sox because that includes thinking about the white sox, which is a waste of time. If India is traded in a Cease deal, I'd hope more than Cease is included and it's just a bigger transaction. I put a very low percentage that he is a "main guy" for Cease. I do appreciate us looking at a team other than the Orioles though.

Love Jim Bowden at the athletic and not James Fegan “ Trade proposal: I like Dylan Ceasegoing to the Reds. What minor-league package plus Jonathan India would it take to acquire him? — Tim O. You like it, I love it — a Cease trade to the Reds makes a lot of sense. How about India and right-hander Ty Floyd for him? The White Sox have to make that trade. Floyd, 22, was a first-round pick (No. 38) in this year’s MLB Draft after dominating at LSU. The White Sox control Cease for only two more years. They’d get their long-term solution at second base with India and a starter with similar upside to Cease but many more years of team control. Maybe the Reds would have to throw in a kicker too, but there is a deal to be made here.” Sorry cannot copy link out of athletic app

Well saw the update it was a team decision. Now it was a family one.

Corey Perry era like the Jon starks bulls era

Mizzou just absolutely embarrassed Arkansas

He let Buehrle go. He let Abreu go. He is not loyal at all until they enter management

he's a pretty good defender.

I have a trade idea that is probably not worth its own thread

He is not good, I agree.
