  1. Hoiberg actually did do this after GS game. They just have a roster collection of some of the worst defensive players in the league. Sorry, you aren't going to convince antonio blakeney to focus on defense.
  2. There are a lot of bulls fans, and I think you are just hearing two different sides. But, if you were gonna fire fred, you should have fired him before season, or after he had chance with his actual roster. F
  3. I kinda agree with the sir, kinda not. I do think there is too much pressure by casual fans who always have an instinct to protect an underdog story. Even when some bigger programs are bad, the away environments in some schools are so much tougher than in smaller conferences. UCF though is probably a top fifteen team. It's just a matter of what the playoff is supposed to do.
  4. So if you are the head coach at Iowa State are you nervous right now?
  5. I think even in optimal circumstances hoiberg probably wouldn't have been a top ten coach, as when the offense looked beautiful it has been questionable how coach or player driven it has been (See mirotic), but that said every year the front office undercut what hoiberg is good at for players they find talented. A truly good coach could have made some of the pieces work better, but why hire hoiberg if you don't want his system? Giving a guy who wants to space and shoot threes a team of butler, wade and rondo was hilarious, then refusing to find him a point guard that can push pace and shoot even better. Then, give him a bunch of ball dominant forwards and wings that don't feel need to play defense. That's definitely fred's dream. If you were a good coach, why would you want to join a front office that will undercut you at every step of the way?
  6. Age/injury and specifically how injuries may cause a bigger decline in defense. I like what he has been as a player, I don't want to bank on getting the "best of" brantley production.
  7. Better than a loss, which bears received.
  8. Oh well. Man Gabriel is just the worst.
  9. Also, I’ll take a tie honestly
  10. man Defense let down huge this game. Fangio has been way too conservatively
  11. Well. Please capitalize on good luck for a W!
  12. Yeah, moral of story is don’t make your team worse unless your backup is better healthy than they are injured.
  13. Should have taken yardage. For plays like that I wish punt returns sent back three and blocked the crap out of gunners
  14. Wow Mack saves ability to tie and win game
  15. He threw it 20 yards before that player!
  16. Game over. Well, bears coaching staff needs to show their incredible conservative use of players with aggressive play calling with a backup costs them playoffs or divisopn
  17. So annoyed. Bears road is immensely harder for playoffs now. They could have rested starters after they clinched a spot. Always devaluing today for some future date where you have an overwhelmingly healthy team risks that healthy game not being important!
  18. Late on everything. One thing that makes backups backups is they are less consistent. please just win this game however you can.
  19. This is exactly what I expected.
  20. A win against Florida in the swamp when Fla is top 15 is impressive regardless if you think the rank is inflated. But I say he’s good enough because I look around at Tennessee, at Arkansas, even South Carolina, at schools with better resources, better recruiting and have been much closer to underperforming than Odom, who this year basically ended up where his recruiting class would say he would. Missouri can get to 8 wins in east, but that’s only because much richer, better recruited programs keep flailing. That could easily happen to Missouri but it didn’t. Odom doesn’t appear to be a great coach in recruiting or in game but he has found two good OCs and has appeared to progress on defense.
  21. He’s counting Bruce/Swarzak but I’m not that big of a fan of doing that at this point because money will have to be spent to replace those spots. Will be easier to do in March. I like trade for Seattle but I still think they would be better off uncoupling Diaz and Sending same cash they acquired with Bruce/swarzak
  22. I can see this and hope so. But if it ends up with Michael Brantley ...
  23. After a day or so sitting on this...I think I hate this trade. It feels very 2014-2016 Sox, who will trade off a cheap, controllable but flawed player and focus only in fixing the flaw by signing an expensive veteran who when they arrive end up worse than what they got rid of. White Sox don’t need marginal upgrades. There should be no more “If Sox just get AVERAGE production from X position instead of negative that’s a big win” rationales anymore. Avg production should come from within .org. judging by what Colome got from deadline, Is rather have traded off lower prospects, or let the bloated number of relief prospects from our forty man prove their spot. This rebuild has seen so much preference for relief pitching prospects, and we need to trade a cheap catcher who may be as good offensively as he showed for more? Again, the good news is this was a cheap barometer to see if Hahn still is garbage at pro scouting.
  24. He had a wrist injury. Hopefully Sox don’t just rely on minor league stats without any additional scouting or context.
  25. Schoop and TA on the same offense... not sure about that. OBP needs to come from somewhere big.
