  1. I'm not going to go nuts over Cliff's outing yesterday but I definitely think it's unrealistic to exect him to do what he did last year. I'm expecting him to put up around the numbers he did in 04.
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 07:02 AM) B.A. is going to have alot of bumps during the season, but he is going to fine. I was VERY happy for him to have a good night. I agree. Brian is going to go through some growing pains but he's going to be just fine.
  3. To add on about Bmac, I think we saw just how important this guy can be for the team. He saved the pen last night and dominated while doing so. Last year this game would have absolutely tore up our pen right away, that wouldn't have been good. Bmac is going to be such an essential part to this team, it's such a luxury to have a guy like him in the pen.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 11:08 AM) I thought that was just his change being incredibly nasty when he threw it, but it could have been something new I guess. Ya, it's his change. It breaks straight down and away to lefties, it's nasty.
  5. Yes, I will be there.
  6. He's good.
  7. Great game, first of 173.
  8. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:07 AM) We went through a tornado warning here today in champaign. The cable was knocked out after the 2nd batter in the game. Certain channels are still knocked out. Only one building on campus seemed to have ESPN in after the storm(didn't have Insight cable provider). A friend came in the clutch and lived in that building, we got to see the post delay game. Today was an adventure. Don't I deserve a thank you?
  9. Well I just got home, I probably caught pneumonia but it was worth it. Great times, I think we're going to learn to like Thome. Off topic a bit: Anyone else see the fight during the rain delay? I had a front row seat.
  10. Opening day last year was beautiful, I guess it was way to much to ask for, for that to happen 2 years in a row.
  11. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) THUNDERRRSTRUCK TIME FOR SOME THUNDER N LIGHTNING THOME AND KONERKO Who's the lightning?
  12. I just got to my friends house in Chicago, I'm going to be leaving here in about an hour and 45 to get there. I can not wait.
  13. In the bleachers.
  14. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) I wouldn't even try it. Seriously. Take something else - anything else. LSD, Ashland, Archer, whatever. Just avoid the Ryan. I've already seen backups this weekend - the Kennedy was clogged up inbound as far north as Fullerton because of it. I got picked up from union station at about 10 Friday night and the Ryan was bumper to bumper, it was ridiculous. Seriously Keith, try a different way if possible.
  15. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:29 AM) Quick question for anyone who cares to answer: I'm coming from the south. I can still take the Dan Ryan, and get off at 35th (or Pershing, or 33rd) correct? I know it'll be a pain in the ass, but I'm leaving early enough and preparing for a long trip. I'd leave now. I don't know the answer but just leave extremely early.

    QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 10:18 AM) Punk. UFC or Pride? UFC, cause Pride isn't on tv enough. WWF or WCW back in the day
  17. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) Ya gotta link?
  18. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 02:50 AM) Extra hour's sleep in for me. Well, I got to be up at 11 tomorrow cause I'm going to a friends house in downtown to drop my stuff off before I head over to the cell. I just look at my computer now and see that it's almost 4...f***.
  19. The time switch is already messing with my mind.

    QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 01:48 AM) Avery Mickey Mantle or Willie Mays? Mays Rowand or Anderson?
  21. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 02:13 AM) That makes sense to me. Fans are more comfortable plus the players have less chance of pulling a hammy or muscle. Makes sense to me as well. It did drive me nuts in high school though, thankfully now I'm in college and it's not like you have to go to class in college or anything.
  22. QUOTE(allupons @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 12:14 AM) I am a little suprised by the desire to trade contreras on these boards. In my opinion, he has without a doubt the best raw stuff of anyone on our starting staff. His only limitation had been the head games he played in his mind, but Coop righted the ship last year and now he is utulizing his vast potential. He was our ace when it came down to the playoffs last year and I predict will remain our ace for quite some time. I personally expect Garland to be the odd man out at the end of the year when he doesnt live up to last years performance, and makes room for BMac in the rotation. Welcome.

  24. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) .... again!
