  1. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 07:30 AM) http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug17.html I know this is an article about Kelly and I agree that's the attitude Kelly should've had but look at the blurb about Frank. Good stuff.
  2. Ya, it's obvious Pauly was asked about the miscues that Royce made and Pauly was defending Royce's defense by saying he's the best defensive shortstop he's played with, I'm sure of it that he was talking about defense and not offense. That's pauly's opinion, I personally disagree cause I do think Juan is a better defensive shortstop because though Royce makes every play at him he doesn't have tremendous range but that's jmo.
  3. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:33 PM) use whitesox.com then I did. Whitesox.com's tickets are through ticketmaster.

  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:46 PM) Not the 48/13 K/BB ratio though. :puke
  6. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) He was only looking for 2 ticket you might have been looking for more? I was looking for 2 as well. I guess ticketmaster just doesn't like
  7. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) don't know what you guys are talking about. i just did a search for 2. i got row 10 on the 3rd base line. Hopefully i'll bethere tommorow. You gotta be crapping me, yesterday when I was looking for tickets almost nothing was available.
  8. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:12 PM) It depends on what time I get out of work and what traffic is like tomorrow. I could get there at about 6:45 like I did on Monday or I could get there at 5:30 like I did on Opening Day and a couple other games this year. I was a damn good pitcher freshman year until I blew out my arm. 2 seamer, 4 seamer, change, sidarm slider, overhand sweeping curve and my 3/4 slurve. Not to mention throwing at 4 different arm angles. You can see why my arm couldn't take the load. I started pitching a bit on the side this year(senior year in HS) but i couldn't throw more then 20 pitches before my arm started to act up. Ya, that's a pretty ridiculous work load for your arm, I can definitely see what your arm would break down.
  9. Cool, hope you make it man. Snb I see you reading, you going to be there?
  10. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) jeez yesterday hawk said the attendence was only 23,000. It went up that much in 1 day. I'm not sure but when I was looking for tickets there wasn't to much left. The cell is going to be pretty packed.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) If I some how make it to the cell early tomorrow I'll throw you my slurve. You will cry, I gaurantee it. What time you think you're going to get there?? Now you got to be at the tailgate, I feel like I've been challenged now.
  12. As of right now it's Brian Roberts. A leadoff man with the 2nd best ba in the al I believe(not 100 percent on that) extremely high obp, great speed probably around 3rd or 4th in baseball in sb's.
  13. Alright sounds good. I'll probably get to the park around 5:15 so I'll stop by then, I'm going to bring my glove as well just to show you guys up
  14. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:40 PM) Wasn't this for 2000, or 2001?(Gagne for Howry) I believe it might have even been later then that, 02 maybe. I'm really not sure though.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) Well frankly I'd take last years offense over this years offense. The reason the team is winning this year is pitching. Put this years pitching staff (and the way they are throwing the ball) with last years offense and I think you'd have similar results. Of course this club is arguably a little better defensively (mainly AJ in CF and the fact that Jose has been replaced by Juan). However Maggs was a good RF and Lee is just as good as Pods defensively (I don't care what anyone else tells me either). I personally wouldn't and I know I'm going to get torn to shreads for that but I guess I just like the way this offense is built and I know their stats aren't good but they've come up with every big hit possible. The thing that says it for me is that the Twins have a better team era and there are a ton of people who absolutely love their offense yet the sox are 5 games up on them. Anyways, it's just a difference of opinion
  16. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) Winston Salem leads 5-0 after one. Guess who hit a 3 run shot? :headshake Daigle, you beast. Haeger on the bump for the 'Hogs. 1st inning - Adkins goes for the Knights. Wow.
  17. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:33 PM) O ok, it would have been great it we did go through with that trade. But o well. Was it a rumor when Gange was still a starter or did he start closing yet? It was when he was still starting.
  18. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) Your joking right? Nope, that was a rumor that was thrown around for a while and looked like it was about to happen.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:17 PM) 60%. I watch almost every game too, but I dont' pay attention to the details and stuff. I watch the game and just see who does good and whose struggling. I still swear Frank had a hit in his debut. I remember him ripping one to center but I must be wrong. I missed 2,3,8,9 He ripped one right at the left fielder in his 2nd ab.
  20. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) I hope he is with the Sox his entire life... That's something I'm sure almost all of soxtalk could agree on.
  21. Steff, what time are you guys starting the tailgate?
  22. 100.00
  23. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) I don't know. I-Rod and Nomar are pretty good balanced hitters as in they hit both for average and power. Same with Frank(at least OBP wise) and Rowand. PK would've had his PK year. I truly don't know, but I would've watched, that's for sure. Nine, this is true, however remember Frank and Nomar were both injured for a big chunk of the season, so now you're putting willie at 2b, juan at short, and timo back in rf.

    I feel so bad for Maggs, I mean he's such a great person he just doesn't deserve to be injured on a bad team.........or not. To bad Maggs you got what you deserved.
  25. Haha, Willie Harris in right field now that would be something to see. Anyways while good on paper that offense would have done the same crap our offense in years past did imo.
