QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 11:25 PM) Main roster isn't all that deep. Gotta start bringing talent up, but then NXT takes a hit. It's still a deep roster, problem is they've killed characters such as Breeze and Bray and even Sasha. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jan 7, 2016 -> 02:58 AM) And there's the issue. If NXT was truly a developmental fed, this would be a non-issue, but with WWE (and HHH. of course) wanting it to be its own touring brand, they have to keep people there to drive ticket sales. It's a delicate balance, but I would think at some point the main roster has to be your priority. It definitely hasn't been a developmental fed for a while, it morphed into its own thing and considering its following it's probably not going to be developmental ever again.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 09:59 PM) So NW must've played a super easy schedule. They did. Speaking of super easy schedules, going to Carbondale on Saturday for the first time in 3 years to watch SIU-Wichita in the battle of 3-0 Valley teams. I'm pumped.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 08:56 PM) Andddd Cena is out again. Might miss Mania. No Cena, no Rollins, no Orton?, no Bryan?, no Cesare?, and people wonder why the product is bad right now. Need to get this Bullet Club thing rolling stat. Push AJ right away as well. They still have an insanely deep roster. Time to make some new stars this mania.

Cespedes Re-signs with the Mets
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 11:06 AM) He could. So could Avi. But that's no better than 50/50. But look at the sox run differential from last year - 72 phytho wins. If anything, the win total exceeded the sum of the parts. A lot would have to improve for this team as is to contend. You cant' trade controllable young talent like they did for a wish and a hope in Melky Cabrera and a couple of others. Your hero worshipping is out of control.

Cespedes Re-signs with the Mets
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 6, 2016 -> 10:25 AM) Why? It isn't a win now year. If anything, the sox get Danks and LaRoche off the books next year so they will have more salary room. This could be the building year for following year. It could be a win now year but it doesn't need to be if the price becomes outrageous. You waste another year of all the team friendly stars. I'm not freaking out yet and individually I like all the moves we've made but playing the middle this year would be rather annoying.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 02:26 PM) Billy Koch. If they kept Foulke, I wonder what happens. Of course Cotts helped in 2005. Damaso and Flash were so freaking dominant though. You're definitely not wrong, he was a main reason they had issues but I feel they should have had enough to over come him.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 09:49 AM) By excluding Bonds the person and player, you aren't excluding Bonds' achievements. You aren't pretending his doesn't exist. You are very clearly saying that Barry Bonds the player didn't merit inclusion into the HOF for whatever reason it was. Unless the HOF sets new standards, it has always been this way. Wait...what?

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 01:26 PM) Completely agree. I can't think of how a guy who is called up from the minors and pitches one game can possibly go down in lore as one of the worst to ever don a uniform. Same with Munoz. I also remember seeing that game, in fact, I think I was in New York at the time, and remember him getting whipped. But you know what, guys get whipped that come up from the minors all the time. The states are filled with guys who got a cup of coffee, stunk, and never saw the big leagues again. Jose was a jackass and it is memorable, but those Sox teams had just absurdly atrocious back ends of the rotation. If you want to blame those Sox teams for not living up to expectations, the blame was squarely on management for not giving Manuel a decent rotation. It was laughable how bad the Sox 4th /5th starters were for most of Manuel's tenure. If you gave those teams the 2005 White Sox rotation, holy hell, would that have been a team. The 2003 team was loaded everywhere, just couldn't get it done for whatever reason.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 01:27 PM) His curve was supposed to be amazing. And IIRC, that game against the Expos was in the old dome. Montreal needs a team back...I miss those unis and those horrendous domes, haha. It was. We almost came back in that game too. Good times(not really).

Official "Making a Murderer" Thread
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 01:19 PM) People are really gullible. That guy's job is to get a guilty verdict. The documentary was spun to be highly in favor of the defense. It was completely one-sided. All of his points are completely accurate and had they been shared in the documentary, no one would be upset that Avery is in jail. The *67 s*** alone implicates Avery pretty well in my book. This is silly. As I've said before, I lean towards Steven being guilty but to call people gullible for not thinking the prosecution presented a strong enough case is dumb.

Vince completely botched the ending of that match. Not a fan of the belt being defended in the rumble but others like it. I'm just over this whole story.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jan 4, 2016 -> 07:24 PM) Possibly, that would be one hell of a start. Interesting though, assuming Styles back issues weren't a work or exaggerated to cut down on his matches for the last 2 months or so, I don't know how much he has left. His last two matches have been insane. Not sure what's up with him but he's been able to put on incredible performances still.

Why not.

Official "Making a Murderer" Thread
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jan 1, 2016 -> 11:43 AM) I am going to disagree with that. There was clearly sufficient evidence to convict, which is why the conviction was held up on appeal. Although the case was pretty much entirely circumstantial, that is often enough to convict. Because the jury did not buy the police-planting-evidence defense theory, what you had evidence wise was very damning. You had her key in Avery's home, you had her car on Avery's land, you had her bones burnt on Avery's land where her Palm Pilot and camera were also found, and you had his DNA in the car. There was also a lot of evidence the documentary, conveniently, left out that was in the article posted above. Now, many things in that article were excluded at trial as being unfairly prejudicial to Avery, but there was still significant evidence omitted by the documentary. I think people would argue that most of the evidence you're talking about is beyond shady and not convincing at all, that's what makes this case so intriguing. The two things that make me lean Avery being the murderer more than anything is the non blood dna under the hood of the car and the fact that he was basically stalking her for a while. Still, none of this really adds up to me and I'm interested to see what comes out here in the next few months/years.

I love the message that some drugs are better than others and being a racist gets you rewarded. The baseball hall of fame should definitely be about sending a message!
