  1. I say go with the Cleveland Football Team. Just cause.
  2. And pegged Dane as a 2-4 starter for the next 6 years when we have 0 clue what he is.
  3. I have 0 doubt that Aaron or Codi can handle the closer's role but I'd much rather have them available to handle high leverage situations in the 7th or 8th.
  4. He's going to play one more year and retire. Obviously the most likely place for him to end up is back in STL but there's been talk about ATL too. Wainwright has taken lower offers lately so he just seems to fit with what the Sox are doing and the obvious TLR connection. Not saying I'd love it or that it's going to happen, I'm just surprised there hasn't been more chatter about it as it seems to make sense.
  5. I'm sayin! This is so simple.
  6. Sign Kershaw and Scherzer to short term deals. This gm thing is easy.
  7. Ya, I'm honestly not too worried about extending Lynn at this point. Gio is the obvious one that we need to get done. Hopefully it happens this year.
  8. I'm legit surprised we haven't heard more about Wainwright to fill that back end of the rotation spot.
  9. Do not put this into the universe.
  10. Defense in right was clearly a priority for them...
  11. Not sure I love you telling this story about me but it's fine.
  12. As you can see by mine, I no longer wield the power to change these. I shall accept the 2 dollars though.
  13. He mashes righties and I'm guessing that's why people want to bring him in. I'm one of the few who would just throw Vaughn out there on opening day but I understand why people want to at least look at Kyle.
  14. Late inning defensive replacement most likely with a spot start here and there and covering the injuries that are bound to happen. He'll get his ab's but I actually agree with fathom, I don't think the Sox are looking at Eaton as a platoon player.
  15. Need some Jose Paniagua back in my life.
  16. I'm just giving ya crap. But it ain't happening so better to not even think about it honestly.
  17. Is it though? Even if you want to throw away 2020, it's not like Eaton's bat was miles better than Mazara's in 2019. Eaton was a tad above average offensively in 2019 but as I said was trending downward even before 2020. Even if you want to look at this thing optimistically the best you can expect is an average offensive player who can't really play defense anymore. Add in the clubhouse issues and it's just not worth it.
  18. Adam declined offensively every year he was on the Nats. Add in the fact that his defense has gone bye bye and I'm not sure what there really is to like besides the fact he's not Mazara.
  19. Does the 7 mill a year cover Drake's salary?
  20. And what if Dane isn't good? There's that possibility as well. And obviously we all want this competitive window to last as long as possible but as of now we have Giolito for 3 more seasons, it's time to take a run at this thing now and stop worrying what's going to happen 6 years down the road.
  21. Agreed here. Definitely don't see an extension coming.
