  1. This could absolutely be the case with or with out Dane. We literally have 0 idea what Dunning is at this point. I know people liked what they saw from him in a super small sample size but that's all that was, a super small sample size.
  2. It's literally 1 guy though(yes I know Weems was in the trade) who was going to be our 4th or 5th starter moving forward. It's not like we traded 3 or 4 guys from the core of this roster to get better for a year.
  3. I haven't read through this whole thread yet and I get in general why some people are against this deal but I really like it. You get your top 3 starter with out giving up Kopech, Vaughn or Crochet. We weren't going to pay top buck for a starter so if we were planning on competing for a World Series this year, I think this is the best deal we could have hoped for especially with Dane's ceiling not being extraordinarily high.
  4. Went fantastic for them actually.
  5. I’d personally flip Crochet and Nick and then also flip 1 and 2 but that’s personal preference.
  6. Sucks. I really liked Chris' show too.
  7. Worked out great for him too. Heard he's done great things after baseball.
  8. Just had to ruin a good Friday, didn't you?
  9. And as much as everyone loves Vaughn, he's no where near the type of prospect or has the type of value Yoan had at the time.
  10. That deal mentioned isn't even close to the deal for Chris.
  11. I'm Kopech's biggest fan and I'd drive him to the airport to make this deal. Most likely light for the Rays though.
  12. Very different scenarios. I'm not the one calling it a bandwagon situation but the situations aren't comparable.
  13. Thought I was the only one. @Kyyle23 and @Brian always used to give me crap because the few times a year I did listen to the radio games I found them enjoyable.
  14. Kasper is awesome but I never listen to the radio broadcasts so selfishly I really don't care ha.
  15. As much as I love what he did with us, this is exactly what I think is going to happen.
  16. Very happy for James. Go get your money, you earned it.
  17. Joc is really too perfect of a fit for what the Sox need right now.
  18. I'm sure they did but that's just not realistic either. And Steve is just a pompous asshole on twitter. Yes, he's the organization's mouth piece a lot but he enjoys being a condescending jerk too. I highly doubt the Sox are going to trade for Snell but if they're serious enough they'd be able to get a trade done with out including Luis.
  19. I’ll be in the minority here but if this team is trying to win a World Series next year he should be in the bullpen. Start stretching him out there but he’s one of your best weapons, he should should be on the major league team.
  20. You’re just being unrealistic. Half the players you mentioned in your original post haven’t even proven to be major league players. If you think we’re about to have some 10 year run of World Series and playoff appearances, you’re just wrong. That’s not how this works. The Cubs run isn’t our floor, that’s the ceiling.
