QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 20, 2013 -> 10:22 AM) Why am I not starting Rivers over Brady? I can't pull the trigger. I wouldn't either.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 12:37 PM) Thing I don't get is they were gonna be in the running for those 3 anyway, and they'd have TRich....Certainly a puzzling move to me. Cause they're really bad and rb's in todays nfl are not very important(there are obvious exceptions), load up on picks and rebuild, makes perfect sense to me.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 12:39 PM) What, you don't think a 2nd year qb that is closer to 30 than 20 is going to be around for a long time? He actually turns 30 in less than a month, crazy.

Chris Sale and wasted effort
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 12:14 PM) I would take the money. If he stays healthy, he will be young enough to cash in again. Yup. He is still so damn young, it's freakin nuts.

Chris Sale and wasted effort
This conversation led me to look up some numbers...it appears that this Mike Trout fella is pretty good.

In the league I don't care about as much, my rb's are Steven Jackson, Eddie Lacey and TRich, this is going to be a rough week.

No #twtw from Chris, that simple.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 05:48 PM) So I'd like to pick up McGahee since my backs are currently Foster, Jones-Drew and Bernard Pierce (14 team league) and I want some depth but I can't figure out which WR to drop out of Miles Austin, Josh Gordon and Eddie Royal (I also have Fitzgerald, Tavon Austin and Steve Smith) or whether I should even drop one for McGahee. Thoghts? I'd probably drop Royal but wouldn't even consider anyone else.

Meaningless, Meaningful Baseball
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) Still, how many people hold Joe Crede and Aaron Rowand in high regard simply due to that World Series? They weren't bad players, but, if not for a World Series, they shouldn't be players that are celebrated forever. I think he really hurt his article by not mentioning that. Rowand and Crede were kind of White Sox legends before the World Series though as well. People fell in love with Joe because he was "clutch" and Aaron because he ran into a lot of things. Obviously the World Series helped a lot with their legends(especially Crede) but they were both beloved members of the Sox before it.

Always lock your phone when you're living with your buddies. Never know what will happen if you don't.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) I know nobody cares but it might make some people feel better, had one of the more disappointing losses in my FF career. I was up 6 and still had AJ Green and Antonio Brown on MNF and I was going up against Cincys defense, ya I lost by 1. Ya that's rough.

Both. Twitter is just awesome for sports information and while I was real late to the game I do love fb now.

Gordon Beckham
Unfortunately Beckham is a bad hitter, that's just a fact at this point. His elite glove makes it hard to just give him up but Semien needs to play somewhere next year and it should be one of the middle infield positions.

NBA Thread 2013-2014
Sometime the best thing a coach can do is stay out of his players way and Spo is smart enough to do that. The guy obviously has great players but he's managed to win with those egos as well, that makes him a great coach IMO. First time I've said this in a while in this thread but I'm with J4L on this one.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 08:52 AM) Is it me or through the first two games has Ben Tate looked a lot better than Arian Foster? I could see this situation frustrating fantasy owners all season long. Tate is a pretty good player but Foster will keep getting his 80 yds and a touchdown, it's what he does. Anywho, I was down by 35 going into the Sunday game and Marshawn and Seattles d made me win pretty comfortably, fantastic.

Yom Kippur Game Thread
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 04:19 PM) I think he fooled all of us. We have a bit of a Crede Curse going on at 3rd base it seems. Ya, I've just learned to take September statistics like spring training stats, most of the time they just don't mean a damn thing.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) Semien with 2 straight good games. Avi struggled today, he needs to keep the opposition honest by being able to pull the ball. Remember when Brent Morel learned to pull the ball two Septembers ago? No reason whatsoever why I brought that up.
