QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:43 AM) Beckham looks big to me. Dude put on some muscle (natural or otherwise). He supposedly added 10 pounds of muscle in the offseason.
-
Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to early for this. Hopefully he's healthy and ready for a big year but it'd be ridiculous to throw him back in the 3 hole after 1 game.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 09:57 PM) Will Ohman: Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. If he's used correctly he'll be fine. That being said, this is Ozzie Guillen we're talking about, so yes, be afraid.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) I posted this in the chat, but Beckham didn't have his first 3 hit game until July 11th last year. And Alexei didn't look absolutely terrible. To me, those are the biggest pluses so far. Quentin looking good was nice too I suppose. Oh, and the pitching doesn't concern me at all. They were throwing batting practice to try and get the game over with. With a 14 run lead, there's no point in dicking around, trying to make the perfect pitch. Just need to make sure that when it's a 1 run lead, they are ready. The only thing that bothered me about the pitching overall is that it made Ozzie have to get Thornton up in the pen. Obviously it's the first game so it's not like he's overworked or anything but in a game like that there should never be a reason where your closer should have to loosen up.

We're the only team with a win in our division, I think it's pretty obvious that this division race is over!

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 05:38 PM) Rodman to make the HOF. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/21276...To_Hall_Of_Fame Great news. I thought it was 50/50 at best. Nice to know that all the non-basketball crap can be put to the side. When this man stepped on the court, he got the s*** done. Glad to hear that.

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 06:40 PM) Pena put two runners on, but Sale came in and allowed them to score. Milledge allowed them to score. That's the only thing of concern for me from this game is Lastings looks absolutely, completely lost in the field. Besides that, because of the gigantic lead what Ohman did really meant nothing.

Well that inning was unacceptable.
-
QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) I thought our team never hits really well in early spring weather Even Alexei has a hit!
-
Hopefully we'll get to see some Milledge soon.

This team is too boring.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) Jacob Tucker is an unreal dunker. Wow Ya, that was fun. -
I really hope Morel gets off to a good start. Go Sox!!!!

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 06:36 PM) Wow, Pablo looks great. He's just not as fun when he's not fat.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 05:13 PM) Pujols is 0-3 with 2 GIDP. Cardinals looking smart for holding off on the new contract.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 04:25 PM) I see. And damn. Spurs have lost 4 in a row. I had just assumed they had best record locked up. Ya, if we win tonight and they lose, we're only 2 back of them. Granted, that's still a good amount of ground to make up with so little games left but they're in a tailspin right now so who knows.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 04:19 PM) How does a Boston win create any separation? We either gain ground on SA for best record in the NBA or gain separation on Boston. That's dependent on us winning as well obviously.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) Reds just stole one from the Brewers. John Axford and his horrific looking mustache f***ed up three of my fantasy teams. f***ed my team as well. Fantastic. Before anyone says "No one cares about your fantasy team," ya I know, don't care that you don't care.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 02:41 PM) Padres will not win 80 games this year I don't even think they'll be close to 80.
-
Woohoo, .5 game lead on the Tigers!!!!!!!!!!
-
QUOTE (YASNY @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 01:45 PM) 5-3 Yanks heading into the 8th. Since I can't bring myself to say go yanks and mean it, I'm just going to say Keep Losing, Detroit! That game was over when the Yanks got a lead in the 7th. A 2 run lead for Soriano and Rivera? Ya, lights out.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 01:44 PM) I feel like Reds are due for a huge letdown season, as could be one of those years where pitching is down for them due to high-pressured innings last year. If Greinke can get healthy, Brewers can win this division. I do think the Cubs lineup will be pretty solid for the first few months until Fukudome and Soriano fade away. Completely agree on the Reds. That division is the Brewers to lose imo.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 12:50 PM) Generally those coaches didn't finish 5th and 4th in their conferences, miss the tourney their first year and were one shot away from missing the tourney their 2nd year. Smart has had an incredible run but VCU's performance last year and prior to the tourney this year leaves a ton to be desired. They have played out of their minds and shot way above their capabilities for a 5 game stretch but that doesn't make him a great coach. But I do agree that any time you hire a mid major coach you are getting an unproven commodity so you just have to wait and see how he does at a bigger job. Still, how many of those coaches that you're talking about have been to a final four when they were at their mid major job? Like I said, I have no clue whether this guy is going to be something special or if he'll be a bust down the road but at least for the next couple of years he should be able to ride this momentum into some pretty solid recruiting classes at a bcs school. -
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 12:38 PM) Votto and Stubs are def two players to watch this year. He wasn't last year?
