Sox (2-0) at Cleveland (0-2) 4/3 @ 12:05 CSN
QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:11 PM) Wouldn't be surprised to see Milledge for Rios. No thanks. Rios swung the bat damn good today, keep him in the lineup and I don't feel like having a Milledge adventure for a whole game in the outfield quite yet.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:01 PM) WTF happened? It was 3-0 Pirates in the 8th last I checked? Cubs scored 5 in the 8th I believe.

I can realistically say that we'll be the only team in the majors that's 2-0 with our best pitcher going in game 3 so that's nice.

Marmol is still nasty if anyone was wondering.

Nice to be 2-0 with our best starter going tomorrow, hopefully we can finish 'em off!

Sox (1-0) at Cleveland (0-1) April 2: 12:05 WGN
Jesus, poor Rios. He's absolutely destroyed the ball twice and has nothing to show for it.

Excited/nervous to see Edwin pitch today. Besides Peavy, he's obviously the biggest x factor in this rotation, I really have no clue what to expect from him. Wouldn't be shocked if he's our best pitcher and wouldn't be surprised if he has an era of 5+.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 07:19 AM) He's been Wil Oh Man for a while. He's basically the mirror image of Scott Linebrink, one lefty on righty. You may get something out of him if you use him as a LOOGY. Expecting much else is trouble, but it appears the Sox aren't counting on him for a whole lot. Yesterday was garbage time so maybe he got some runs out of his system. Well, everyone in the world knows he needs to be used as a LOOGY, period. If he's used correctly, he'll be just fine, if not then ya we have some problems. We have two other fantastic lefties in our pen so hopefully Ohman is used only against left handed hitters and then he should find himself a nice little role in the pen.

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:43 AM) Beckham looks big to me. Dude put on some muscle (natural or otherwise). He supposedly added 10 pounds of muscle in the offseason.

Carlos Quentin
Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to early for this. Hopefully he's healthy and ready for a big year but it'd be ridiculous to throw him back in the 3 hole after 1 game.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 09:57 PM) Will Ohman: Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. If he's used correctly he'll be fine. That being said, this is Ozzie Guillen we're talking about, so yes, be afraid.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) I posted this in the chat, but Beckham didn't have his first 3 hit game until July 11th last year. And Alexei didn't look absolutely terrible. To me, those are the biggest pluses so far. Quentin looking good was nice too I suppose. Oh, and the pitching doesn't concern me at all. They were throwing batting practice to try and get the game over with. With a 14 run lead, there's no point in dicking around, trying to make the perfect pitch. Just need to make sure that when it's a 1 run lead, they are ready. The only thing that bothered me about the pitching overall is that it made Ozzie have to get Thornton up in the pen. Obviously it's the first game so it's not like he's overworked or anything but in a game like that there should never be a reason where your closer should have to loosen up.

We're the only team with a win in our division, I think it's pretty obvious that this division race is over!

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 05:38 PM) Rodman to make the HOF. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/21276...To_Hall_Of_Fame Great news. I thought it was 50/50 at best. Nice to know that all the non-basketball crap can be put to the side. When this man stepped on the court, he got the s*** done. Glad to hear that.

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 06:40 PM) Pena put two runners on, but Sale came in and allowed them to score. Milledge allowed them to score. That's the only thing of concern for me from this game is Lastings looks absolutely, completely lost in the field. Besides that, because of the gigantic lead what Ohman did really meant nothing.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 04:25 PM) I see. And damn. Spurs have lost 4 in a row. I had just assumed they had best record locked up. Ya, if we win tonight and they lose, we're only 2 back of them. Granted, that's still a good amount of ground to make up with so little games left but they're in a tailspin right now so who knows.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 04:19 PM) How does a Boston win create any separation? We either gain ground on SA for best record in the NBA or gain separation on Boston. That's dependent on us winning as well obviously.
