McCarthy Watch
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 10, 2007 -> 05:31 PM) If that was their plan, fine by me. I'm more than satisfied with what we got back. I don't think anyone at this point would say that they aren't. This coming from probably the biggest McCarthy fan on this site. It is going to take years to fully review this trade, but at the moment, this is an absolute steal.

2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
So our offense has been awful, we've been with out our best hitter for a while and with out one of our better hitters against lefties for the entire season, yet if the Angels hang on we're still only 3.5 out of a playoff spot at the moment. Not the worst thing in the world, I guess.

And that's another White Sox winner!!!
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 10, 2007 -> 04:38 PM) We're still a month away from any talk of Podsednik returning anyway. So this really shouldn't be an issue until atleast mid June. I don't see why Thome returning would threaten Sweeney's playing time. It certainly shouldn't.

2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 10, 2007 -> 01:45 PM) Link. So According to Mr. Stark, before he was hurt, Jim Thome was essentially the best offense generating weapon in baseball thus far on the season, even beating out ARod and Bonds. He was certainly the most valuable offensive player in baseball at the time.

5/10 Games
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 10, 2007 -> 04:26 PM) Egbert is going to become the first man since Steve Nebraska to throw a no hitter with 27 k's tonight. Expect at least 28 k's, he's too nasty to not have a dropped 3rd strike somewhere in there.

QUOTE(Sonik22 @ May 8, 2007 -> 05:24 PM) What do you think is going to happen with Bocot? According to Salukitalk he didn't get a qualifying ACT score. GO DAWGS! I don't even know what to think about the whole Bocot situation. I honestly have no freakin clue on what's going to happen. I'm just going to wait and see.- Who wants Ozzie's head?
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ May 9, 2007 -> 01:14 AM) It reminded me of pitching to Mauer last year at home with first base open and 2 outs. The AL hitting leader up, promptly hits a 3 run homer and the Sox lose. July 24, for those scoring at home. Who could have seen that coming?- In two more days, fire sale talk will pick up

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 8, 2007 -> 01:13 PM) Also, the new Rivals 150 is out for the class of 2008. Fresh new SIU verbal Kevin Dillard comes in at #148. #4, There will be something wrong if Roundtree isn't in the top 150 soon, anyone who has seen him play can vouch for that. CLo was worth every penny and more that he got.- Couch rips the White Sox for "staying put"
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 8, 2007 -> 12:55 AM) it's purely a matter of luck. I don't care what anyone says, for the most part that's bulls***. There are exceptions to the rule but to say you just have to luck your way to winning a world series is nonsense.- Catch-All Anything Thread
College should never end(besides the school part ).- The cause of an earache
That doesn't sound fun.- So the fans were whining about this in the offseason?
The problem people had with the Freddy trade was the fact that most thought we didn't get enough back in return. I don't think many people were too upset that we got rid of Freddy. As for Brandon, I know personally I just didn't want to give him up, that's what made me a tad upset with that trade and I think in general people were just confused on that trade. I'm happy as all hell with that deal right now, as so far we've obviously gotten the better end. I will say that it's still far far far far too early to look back on these deals, it's going to take years to see how they really pan out.- Informal Poll: How many states have you been to?
