  1. "It's a bromance" my favorite quote in that whole article, otherwise i like the idea of Putz in the Pen.
  2. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Nov 23, 2009 -> 05:16 PM) Can someone give me a blurb about who each of these guys are....I was looking at the 40 man roster and just dont know much about these guys at all. There is very little info about them online.....I didn't want to start a thread about this but I didn't know where else to post it. Lucas Harrell Brandon Hynick Santo Luis Clevelan Santeliz Sergio Santos Stefan Gartrell There's a lot of info about these guys in the future sox thread, especially in the AAP part (as long as they have one). Also check out futuresox.com for some more info.
  3. QUOTE (beck72 @ Nov 10, 2009 -> 04:15 PM) The sox could very well be looking at this type of lineup in 2010. Can't say I'm overly impressed. But it would be an upgrade defensively. 1. [DH] Scott Podsednik 2. [2B] Gordon Beckham 3. [LF] Carlos Quentin 4. [1b] Paul Konerko 5. [C] AJ Pierzynski 6. [CF] Alex Rios 7. [3b] Mark Teahen 8. [sS] Alexei Ramirez 9. [RF] Jordan Danks Bench: Tyler Flowers Jayson Nix Mark Kotsay De Aza I just threw up in my mouth...
  4. With the departure of Getz today Polanco doesn't seem like so much of a pipe dream anymore.
  5. I liked the interview a lot, it gave a lot of credible insight on the team and I thought it was a very good read.
  6. I still get the chills from watching that video, seeing it in person though is something that i will never forget. Those were two memorable homeruns.
  7. MIL is currently winning 6-1 in the bot 7 so its looking like the 13th as of now.
  8. 1. Game 2 of World Series 2. Game 2 of ALCS 3. Opening Day '05
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 05:19 PM) Tough crowd today...the guy's wife just died tragically, didn't she? Yeah I believe she did, but I voted for Pordea. If he's gonna be up here and Clayton is gonna keep pitching like crap, then why not give the rook a shot at it.
  10. I never thought he would ever take a step on a major league field again. Andy Gonzalez-1B- Marlins Jul. 8 - 1:35 pm et Marlins purchased the contract of infielder Andy Gonzalez from Triple-A New Orleans. Hanley Ramirez missed his third consecutive game Tuesday with a strained right hip flexor and may need a few more days of recovery. Gonzalez will provide infield depth until he returns. The 27-year-old was batting .260/.361/.356 with four home runs and 32 RBI in 219 at-bats for the New Orleans Zephyrs. Related: Hanley Ramirez
  11. Nothing makes me laugh more than hearing the Hawkeroo belt out a "HELL YES!!!"
  12. The Shroom is where it's at.
  13. Joe Torre made both lists, now that i don't get at all.
  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 26, 2009 -> 05:43 PM) Loss is on AJ and he did it in just one pitch. We played respectable otherwise. We also managed yet another unearned run. Fixed
  15. Why does AJ always feel the need to swing at the first pitch with bases loaded and 1 out? You would think someone would tell him to take a pitch. Just go take the next 2 games from em boys.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 22, 2009 -> 10:19 AM) You actually have him in a fantasy league...? I have him in 2 of mine, just incase he gets on a tear and plays to his ability.
  17. In case anyone cares, Danny Richar was called up by the Reds.
  18. I actually work for the Thunderbolts, but i actually never got to see this guy play.
  19. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) Well, it's not impossible that it's true. Are you defending Joe Mauer? I wouldn't say he's defending him, he may very well be a jerk, but most people don't have exs that think they're perfect.
  20. Hawk continuing to b**** about the pitch to Soriano.
