  1. QUOTE (3E8 @ Oct 22, 2008 -> 07:02 PM) Amsterdam /thread That was what my room was when we had that party. Needless to say I had alot of snacks, and probably the best time. For whatever reason, our room was stocked with girls like a trout pond.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 04:51 PM) I'm telling you guys... He might be a .270 15 HR 60 RBI guy if he gets to start. what gives you that impression Knight?
  3. Cubano, there are lots of vball players that could out jump Jordan, I played with several olympians as well as top notch talent, many had 40+ in verticals, and a few with 50in.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 04:37 PM) Wow, what a shock, if you want to see the ice, the NHL is going to gouge you for 225 or 325. f***ing ridiculous. Its retarded actually. This is why we have rented out a space at my friends bar for everyone to come, kill their hangovers and watch the Hawks
  5. Griff played through a leg injury without much stink and was called the ideal teammate in the clubhouse. It was AWESOME seeing him in a Sox uni
  6. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Oct 21, 2008 -> 06:25 PM) I still like Harrell a lot, but Poreda is really pitching himself into consideration for a rotation spot this year. I mean he hasn't given up a run in the AFL, striking out more than a hitter per inning. The walks aren't bad, though he has given up some hits, they could very well be broken bats or seeing eye singles. But still his WHIP is pretty good. I really think it's going to be JD, Floyd, MB, Vaz and then the winner of Richard/Poreda. Richard is a pen arm IMO, he just doesnt have the ability to continue to get hitters out as the game goes on, nor after they've faced him a few times. He is going to be a more effective Boone Logan.
  7. QUOTE (juddling @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 11:58 AM) I haven't been as upset about this season as most has but last night's show was pretty bad. Though it was a set up show and next weeks looks like it could be interesting. I didnt think it was bad at all. Im just really wondering how Peter is going to get his power back.
  8. QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 11:54 AM) They will NEVER patch things up from the past circumstances. Maybe so, but close your eyes for a second and imagine .312 .371 .520 hitting behind Q. An RBI machine, 30-40 2B's.
  9. Shot in the dark. Detroit Press has been saying Maggs is going to be traded for salary relief. I would LOVE to have Maggs as our DH or as a replacement for Dye if he is traded. Maggs still has alot of hitting left in him and is a contact guy that this team would benefit from in the middle of the order, especially behind Q.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 08:42 AM) Loved the Jamie - Lynn Sigler storyline though, with Drama running his mouth to everyone. Hearing her say jerked off made the show for me.
  11. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 08:51 AM) It's a bad situation for MLB, but I think Bud and the boys made the right decision in saying it was going to go 9 no matter what. You can't have a WS game, much less the clinching game, go anything less than 9. No kidding. I was thinking last night if they delayed the game, and then awarded the Phillys the title the next day how subdued the celebration might be. Either way I think this is going down as one of the most boring WS I've ever seen.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 24, 2008 -> 07:11 PM) Technically Brenly won a world series so I don't think you can call him a guy that has failed. Sure he's been fired but so has Joe Torre. Yes he did, although not sure how much that had to do with him. Im just sick of, well there is an opening, what other retread can we bring back into the fold? Its the same in almost every sport. Look what happens when you bring in someone who isnt the same old name. Guillen, Maddon, Scioscia are just a few who have had success in their first managerial stint after not much consideration anywhere else.
  13. God damn Heroes is so good. I dont even care if I am in the minority, this show has me riveted.
  14. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 10:31 AM) I don't think this was the best of the season, but that scene with Dee and Charlie dry-heaving at the comedy club had me rolling on the floor. "So what's with those hands-free sets? Those are weird huh? BAAHHhhh" Its like., hey im 1 part robot 3 parts douche-bag bahhhhhh
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 08:48 AM) I have been really disappointed in Huet so far this year. I don't know if he just isn't playing well, or if the lack of consistant playing time has something to do with it. I just haven't been impressed. Right now I would be riding Khabi. I hope they would play Khabby more because they need him to increase his trade value so we can snag a difference maker to put this team over the top. If Huet starts every game and doesnt have to rotate, I think you'll see a good return.
  16. QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 25, 2008 -> 04:21 PM) He can play only 3 times a week max and rarely will go 9 innings. That. His only value is to the Rays who have him signed already. He is not a good risk to take considering he cant even play in a platoon situation and maybe go for long stretches of not being able to play at all. He's also injury prone outside of his illness.
  17. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 27, 2008 -> 08:33 PM) Still waiting for Byfuglien or Ladd to even make an appearance this season. Sopel has looked awful this season, and that trend continued tonight. On a positive note, at least he is locked up for 2 more years. I hate Sopel, I think he was terrible last year and even worse this year. The guy has no puck control.
  18. QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Oct 26, 2008 -> 01:15 AM) f*** PSU. f*** f*** f*** Eh, one play away from upsetting them, not a huge deal. Defense looked great though. To be honest, PSU getting that close to losing to OSU makes me think they would get crushed in the BCS title game.
  19. How about not rehashing old mangers and going a route with someone who hasnt tried and failed in the majors? Personally, I would hire Fisk or Ventura.
  20. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Oct 24, 2008 -> 10:35 AM) Personally, I don't see the Brewers trading Hardy for Vazquez. I just can't see Vazquez returning a solid starter, especially a SS. The demand for Hardy would be high. The thing is that the Brewers want to move Hardy to make way for another top prospect, Hardy is one of their major chips this offseason and with the loss of Sheets and CC, they need to bring in another starter, preferably one who can eat innings and win some games. Javy fits that mold decently, especially comparative to what other teams may offer (Marquis-type)
  21. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Oct 24, 2008 -> 09:06 AM) I don't see us being a good fit to trade with the Brewers with our current farm system. We don't have the pitching down there that they are going to want. The only way I see us being able to acquire Hardy is a three-way deal where we send Dye/Konerko. I'd like Hardy as well, really don't see it happening. Javy is a pretty good fit for them actually.
  22. I forgot to mention my wine tasting class, we were only drunk at the end.
  23. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 23, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) I must be the only one on this board that's ever seen this movie. Oh I have, but still doesnt make me sad.
  24. I have too, and baked out of my brain. I MAY have also been on a 2 day bender and went to class with help from other stuff. It happens.
  25. QUOTE (Texsox @ Oct 22, 2008 -> 07:03 PM) That guy was just irresponsible. I have 11 year old Boy Scouts with more common sense and outdoor skills to survive that experience. I am glad you say that, because some people make that kid out to be some sort of great idealist, when in actuality he was an irresponsible idiot.
