I was in New Buffalo all weekend, the entire area near there and Mich City was flooded across main roads. SO I just spent more time at the Four Winds

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 11:38 PM) Farmer must be nuts. Sox have to hang in there without Q at least for the regular season and most likely all of the playoffs if they advance. I know we all hope Q is back for some portion of the playoffs but in the regular season seems a bit farfetched. I understand opportunities to play in playoff games are few and far between for some but the long term risk isn't worth it. Q has already been taking flips for a few days with one arm. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 10:02 PM) Today's loss goes on mostly Greg Olsen, with an assist to Ron Turner. I have never seen a worse set of three play calls than the three at the end of the game by the Bears, but it doesn't come to that if Greg Olsen could hold on to the ball. Olsen looked like a Bears first rounder today, that's for sure. I feel so bad for the Chargers too, I can't think of the last time I saw a team get f***ed by the refs that badly. Horrible, when they change the rules because of a game you lost (and I bet that happens after today in regards to the whistle after the incompletion thing), you know you got screwed. Biggest play of the game and you give it to your f***ing non-running fullback. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 08:43 PM) OSU just completely melting down right now. USC is just a much better team and even if OSU had Wells USC wins this game easily IMO. By the way Todd Boeckman just absolutely sucks. I know the O-Line hasn't performed well today, but that guy has no pocket presence, takes forever to get rid of the ball and once he gets hit he goes into a shell. He's awful. And its time to close the book on this overachieving group of players. Many of them were unheradled coming out of high school, and they surprised us by playing well enough to win the big ten. Unfortunately only a small number of them are really top talents, and they never really could step up to the next level. I am for one am looking forward to this next big group of better talent to see if they can get it done. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 10:39 AM) I'm going to make the assumption that it'll be a full house tonight in Tampa (or close to it) and Raymond James Stadium really doesn't get enough credit for how loud it is. You can't hear a thing in that place. Combine that with the speed South Florida has on defense, and Matt Grothe at QB, and I like their chances. I think it will be a VERY good game though, lower scoring and decided by a touchdown or less. The speed of SFLA is going to be a huge factor in this game, but I think that Kansas will grind one out. The real x-factor to me is whether or not Reesing can fit his passes in past the speedy and talented db's of SFLA. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 10:29 AM) The ACC Coastal division could be fun. It's not very good, but it's so wide open. Duke and Virginia are just awful, but the other four teams (DA U, UNC, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech) all have a very good chance to get into the ACC Championship game and play for a BCS bid. Oh, and if you have a chance, watch the game tonight. It's Kansas at South Florida, and it could be fantastic. I like South Florida in this one though, they have too many athletes for Kansas to handle and are better than any team the Jayhawks beat last year. Ill take that. I'll take Kansas based almost entirely on QB play. -
ESPN has commentary about the cubs through the years on their main page right now, and who did they interview for the 40's??? Nobody else but a homeless crackhead retard who got famous by saying Woo Woo.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 11:38 PM) we'll probably see him carry the ball 4 times for 6 yards and call it a day. Then ABC will keep showing him on the sideline all upset that he isnt out there. It's too tough for players to come back from serious ankle injuries this quickly. OSU is just trying to make USC gameplan for Wells eventhough he wont have much in the tank. Good thing it wasnt an ankle injury, its his big toe. -

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 08:19 PM) ah, well that was a pretty weak comeback. Didn't make much sense. A comeback for what? You said most people want Thorton as our closer, I say they dont, and you might need to look up the meaning of the word "most". I could start a thread if you like asking people if they would like him as our closer and we can see if "most" want him to be. -

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 09:17 PM) This is easily a top ten worst managed game by Ozzie. First, Gavin shouldn't have even started the inning as he was leaving pitches up in the 7th and secondly he left him out there too long in the 8th. And then Wasserman? Are you f^&&ing kidding me? We don't deserve to win this division. And secondly if we do most likely we're 3 and out anyway as we are not even close to as good as LA, BOS or Tampa. The same Angels we just beat last week? And Gavin was at 80 pitches and cruising, why the hell wouldnt he start the inning? It would have been a f***ing horrible move to not let him start that inning. -

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 09:12 PM) The first part was sarcasm since most want him to be our closer. And Id argue the second part as I don't remember any situation where Thorn came in with runners on and Most huh? I hope you have a dictionary on hand because I couldnt name 3 people that want him as our closer. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 09:11 PM) I would like to see if there is anyone as good against anyone team than Weaver against us. I would imagine the list to be short, very short. Floyd against Bal is pretty close, but not quite. Weaver has only started against us 4 times, give him time, the numbers will even out. -

Where are the Sox fans on this board? Be positive, root for your team. If you live and die with every pitch, why not cheer for a rally for f***s sake. Its really pathetic. -

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) nice, there's our 3rd best bullpen arm for sure. Has thorndog EVER gotten out of a situation like that without giving up runs? Fixed and Yes, plenty of times actually. And I smell an 8th inning rally for us. -

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 09:04 PM) I hope our hitters are proud of their performances tonight, against a guy who's given up 22 homeruns this year. And a 3.42 ERA in the AL east, with a .224 BAA. Yeah, he sucks.
