  1. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 1, 2017 -> 10:59 AM) Ah crap it's Covey day. Even crappier, it's May day.
  2. QUOTE (Blackout Friday @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 01:33 PM) Struggling can be part of development. He needs to adjust, and I'm sure he's intelligent enough to realize this and obviously talented enough to execute. Obviously no guarantees, but I'm not ready to worry too much. He's also seemingly started slow every year while going through the minor leagues. I just wish the Sox were better at coaching/developing position players throughout the organization.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 01:25 PM) May is not long for MLB right now. Should have never been up in the first place.
  4. QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 01:18 PM) Well it was a nice little run while it lasted. These games happen. At least they won the series. Can't be mad about being 5-1 vs divisional opponents in 6 games. Gotta dust off the shoes and get ready for a 4 game set vs KC. It ain't over yet.
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 12:40 PM) Trade everyone one
  6. He still has poor defensive fundamentals.
  7. Well let's say they trade Frazier and bring up Moncada, moving Saladino to third. It can be argued that move may actually improve the team in the present as well as the future. Say they trade Holland or Gonzales but one of their young pitchers is doing well in the minors. They would be replacing the departed pitcher from within plus be adding to the organization with the return from the trade. Trading Melky would be a little trickier unless they get a young outfielder back that's just about ready to play in the major leagues. Sox are in a good position as long as Hahn does it right. However, if he just starts haphazardly gutting the team for low level prospects that are years away while having nothing to replace what they traded, it will be a move backward. Hahn needs to hold out for value and be prepared to keep his players if the right price is not met.
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 29, 2017 -> 02:32 PM) Avi and MVP both have 3 letters, in case anyone was curious. And Garcia has six letters, which is the same number of teams that will win their division.
  9. This would be a big run to pick up here, Omar!
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 29, 2017 -> 02:17 PM) Remember when Avila was garbage for us? Fun times. I always liked Avila with the Sox. Just too bad he couldn't stay healthy.
