2025 MiLB Catch All thread
Explains why they wouldn't let him throw and only DH. Explains the timing as well. 10 months to spring training so he'll have no issues hitting full time and be ready to throw by the season.

Sox acquire Workman
Stress reactions take 4-6 weeks just like a fracture. They are stable compared to fractures so players can play with them. Just depends on the pain tolerance and what the player is willing to deal with.

24-25 NFL Thread
Agreed. I think the stats someone quoted were that last year Detroit ran the 12 package 33% of the time, the largest in the league. With the quality of Kmet that's probably even higher this year.

That would do it. It sounds right too. He could hit and only DH so it's probably a labrum or possibly rotator cuff issue. He could hit with a small injury to either of these but not throw. The question would be is that would surgery or healing in the off season allow him time to recover for spring training. Is it worth the htting development to only DH the whole year. After a few weeks of testing it the answer seems to be no.

4/22 Games
True but I definitely think the plan is to stretch him out eventually.

4/22 Games
Think the plan is to limit him to 3 innings for the first half at least.

Ownership breakdown: ishbias 35%, Reinsdorfs 50%
Nah, JR is too cheap to offer anyone a good deal.

Could be the Twins where even the Ishbias don't want you.

Stadium contract...
Have you gone to the highest seats on the west side of Soldier Field? The only good thing there is you can see Michigan with a good set of binoculars.

Slater torn meniscus; Jones back
Depends on the size of the tear. If it's small they'll do anti-inflammatory mess and see if he can play with it. If its a llarge one he can't play with it's surgery of which there is two types. 1. On the inside where they remove the torn piece and it's 3-8 weeks depending on how much needs to be removed. 2. If it's on the periphery it's a repair and it's 9 months give or take depending on the type of repair they use.

4/11 game thread vs Boston 6:40 first pitch
Still a symptoms of the game. Could be that the Sox just have pitchers that have been healthier and havent had it yet. Luckily many of the prospects coming up have already had it.

That you can put on the medical staff. Some of it could be on the GM and coaching staff depending on the dynamics. The coaches and such would over ride the medical staff more often 10 years ago. Still does some but not as often.

4/9 Sox @ Guardians 5:10PM CT
I know we have had this discussion in the past but you don't seem to understand the concept. The Athletic trainer is NOT responsible for preventing the injuries. This is the responsibility of the strength and conditioning staff. The Athletic trainer is responsible for treating injuries after they happen and returning them to their prior level of function. Changing the head Athletic trainer will not change the occurrence of the injuries. It may change in how quickly they return.

He got pushed back a day because of the rainout. He is going 3 innings with schweitzer piggy back tomorrow I think.
