I think it depends on the status of the team and minor league system. They have a really top heavy system that should produce at least 5 or 6 MLB players to add to the team. This allowed them to draft a bunch of high school players which typically take longer to develop. As opposed to when they didn't have much talent in the system and needed players relatively quickly.

I was actually participated that study. None of its surprising. The power of the NCAA coach is pretty high with the money they bring in. However, it was a very subjective study with the questions of feeling pressured especially when the athlete still didn't play. Having the strength and conditioning group report to the AT instead of the coach will be an interesting dynamic if the suggestions are passed and it actually occurs.

You were looking at fy18 and didn't include the support or the contractual, which still only brings it up to 50% which is low. Look at fy19. Faculty is up to 52% plus contractual brings it up to about 70%. My only experience is with Illinois schools but they tend to be in that area when you look at all of the line items related to faculty, adjunct, lecturers and lab assistants etc.

I know this is a Burger thread and not Burdi but it says in the article that he tore a ligament near his patella. If this is accurate than he probably didn't tear the patella tendon discussed earlier but probably the medial patella femoral ligament. That is really the only significant ligament there. This a an odd injury unless he dislocated his patella. They really have had bad luck with injuries.

I dont think it is as drastic as this. much of Mitchell's game was based on speed. a posterior tib tear is much more devastating to any player than an achilles issue but especially for one reliant on speed. burger was never going to rely on speed it's like when Ventura fractured and dislocated his ankle. the injury would have been devastating for a speed guy. with him you never knew the difference.
