As good of a hitter as Soriano is, he's not the type of player we need. He's a free swinging right handed power hitter with a very questionable glove. We need some one that can play defense, get on base, steal a base, situationally hit, etc. We certainly don't need to trade good young pitching for someone like Soriano.

I saw Garcia pitch against the Rangers Saturday at Arlington. He looked damn good. Pitched 7 scoreless innings, giving up about 5 hits or so, until Blalock (HR) and the Rangers got to him for 3 in the 8th.

I think the purpose of this suspension was, in fact, to make him miss one start. Just like Dusty was suspended for 1 game.

I'm in agreement with Brando, too. In fact, the only way Reed should be on the team this year is if we go into the dumpster. Then you bring up so you know what you have heading into next year.

Good article. Why not give kids with a high school or college ID card upper deck tickets for eight to ten bucks? Half price parking would be nice too. Make it a fairly inexpensive place to take a date, or hang out with your buddies.

You should organize a caravan from Lawrence to the Cell. See a couple of games and put a 100 butts in the seats.

I think Hawk is trying to build some excitement for this team and Ozzie is the main selling point so far. Rather, Ozzie's influence on how the team is approaching these games seems to be. If, by doing this, he helps spin those turnstyles, then by all means, "Keep it up, Hawk!"
