  1. Yep. Also, Coronavirus is a lower respiratory affliction. It shouldn’t feel like chest congestion. It’s more like pneumonia from what I’ve seen.
  2. I have pretty bad dust/grass/weed allergies, but I had to take care of my yard this weekend. Now, I have a sore throat, cough, and chest congestion. Not exactly the best time for those symptoms, but it’s typical for when I do a lot of yard work. As long as I don’t get a fever...
  3. I agree. It either happens or it doesn’t.
  4. It’s funny to see/hear Cubs fans complaining about the possibility of losing Bryant because of money. I’ve heard Kap, Silvy, Parkins, and a few other complaining on their shows. It’s a little hard to feel bad for a team that outspends 90% of the league. i hope nobody bails them out. I don’t want them to get anything for Bryant.
  5. I’m sure someone knows the answer - why are there always guys outside the stadiums buying extra tickets right before the game?
  6. Let’s not ignore that Keuchel said other teams were clearly doing it as well.
  7. He’ll need to steer clear of our LF.
  8. Doesn’t it seem a little unlikely that there was a switch in the manager’s office that controlled a bulb on a sign in right center field? Did they really run wire halfway round the stadium? Who was sitting in the manager’s office during games, watching the monitor, and signaling to the players with this switch? Wouldn’t it only be useful in night games? Wouldn’t a light blinking on and off during the game be noticeable? I’m no LaRussa fan, and I agree that his head in the sand approach to steroids is laughable, but I can’t believe this allegation by McDowell.
  9. Berman showed more enthusiasm in HR Derbies at All Star games than he did in the El Duque inning. It's glaring. That's as tense as a playoff moment gets, and he shows zero excitement. i didn't mind Buck as much, but I watched my VHS tapes of the games a few years ago and had to laugh/shake my head when he was going on and on about Clemens and Pettite's special relationship and workout regimen.

My phone’s facial recognition feature knows me when I’m on the toilet. Not sure that’s a good thing.
  11. Fake punt was a terrible choice.
  12. October starts in March
  13. It’s not a big deal. I was just pointing out that their most exciting period was the early 90s. They didn’t win the Super Bowl, but they were definitely a great team. Their “success” shouldn’t be minimized. It’s pretty remarkable that they kept making it when you consider recently the runner up often misses the playoffs the following year.
  14. Yeah, the early 90s Super Bowl teams were a snooze.
  15. I had the exact opposite reaction when I saw Eloy jog out to left field last year in Spring Training - very awkward stride when he runs.
  16. I’d put you on the short list of posters who can match the word count.?
  17. Hub Arkush was on with Boers, and Terry was complimenting the Sox. Hub, a Cubs fan, interjects with a Sox attendance comment, “Even when they were winning....” No matter what the Sox do, there’s always a “yeah, but” attitude from the media that doesn’t exist for other teams because the media is mostly filled with Cubs fans, and even the ones who are Sox fans tend to buy into that narrative. It would be nice to experience some unbridled enthusiasm every once in a while when it comes to the Sox.
  18. That missed bomb to Robinson was a killer. He also had some terrible misses on short passes. Mitch was awful last night. Cohen has been terrible all year. He runs laterally all the time instead of turning upfield. I can’t think of a player who regressed so much from one season to the next. 3rd down defense was bad last night, and it feels like they’ve been giving up 3rd and long conversions all season. They’ve also had too many dumb penalties that have extended drives that eventually ended in scores. Nagy has been bad and stubborn all season. Play calling has sucked.
  19. It’s on the yahoo main page. I’ve never watched a game on it, but I just checked and it was playing - maybe 30 seconds behind the tv feed.
  20. Why not front load a four year contract for Keuchel? Give him four years, overpay him this year and have the money go down at the back end of the contract so it’s not an albatross when they have to re-up with some of their young guys.
  21. I’m not sure if it’s a real thing, but if they end up dealing Cease because they were too cheap to sign a top dollar FA, I think I quit. They should not be trading away their young talent. They should be making offers that FAs can’t afford to refuse.
  22. What Trubisky has done the last few weeks is encouraging - under tremendous scrutiny and outside pressure, too. Moving him around, designed runs, throwing some deep passes (even a miss keeps the defense honest). A lot of the blame for this season has to go to Nagy's play calling. The mix of plays last night was great. it would be nice if Nagy could design a play where Cohen caught the pass with his momentum going upfield rather than to the sidelines. It seems like half his receptions are two steps from the sideline, and he immediately runs or gets pushed out of bounds after he makes the catch.
  23. Aikman is basically openly cheering for the Cowboys.
  24. Does Wims know the difference between someone’s front and their back?
