To be fair, almost every signature call is contrived. Very few calls are spontaneous, and when they are spontaneous, they eventually become the signature call.

I have to say, I think he’s pretty good. He’s a little corny, but he’s got a good voice (not the cookie cutter announcer voice most young guys seem to have). He recognizes hard hit balls. I don’t even mind SS Stand Up. Not much different from John Rooney’s “and that’s a white sox winner!” I think he’ll grow out of some of the annoying tendencies he has, but a month in, I kinda like him.

I’ll go with 1983. 7 Starters in their first 8 picks. It’s too bad they didn’t pick Marino instead of Gault, but they had McMahon in his 2nd year. Covert, Gault, Mike Richardson, Duerson, Thayer, Dent, Bortz all major contributors for years. 2 HOF.

I actually feel bad for the fans of other teams who have to watch the Sox when they play us. It’s embarrassing.

If White Sox baseball was a science fair project… Question - why are the Sox unable to hit or score runs? Hypothesis- the opponent keeps the baseballs they pitch to our team in a humidor.

I’m not a big Dave Matthews Band fan, but I saw them last month at the Innings Fest in Tempe, and they were great. Great band - can play anything. Dave is a really good frontman. I saw them 25 years ago in Chicago, and they’re still getting it done.

That may be the smallest crowd I’ve seen at a Sox game. They should bring back the Covid cutouts.

Watching “Manhunt” on Apple. It’s about JWB killing Lincoln and the hunt for him after he ran from thw theater. Really good-except Patton Oswalt is seemingly plopped into the 1860s from modern day. He doesn’t even try to seem like he’s from that period.

Curb finale was bad. Not sure why LD would think basically repeating the Seinfeld finale was a good idea. Not sure which was worse.

If you told me in Spring Training 3 Sox players would be injured in the first 10 games, I would have guessed Eloy, Robert, and Moncada.

My level of disconnect with this team… I didn’t click on the article. It took me reading several posts to figure out who Hendrix was (and not due to the misspelling). Other than Jimi, the only Hendrix that came to mind way Kyle. And I couldn’t figure out why he’d be commenting on the Sox. Although, if he wants to, have at it. That said, I think Liam’s point isn’t necessarily about his personal situation (haven’t read article) but the overall atmosphere of cheapness that clouds the Reinsdorf franchises.

It doesn’t help that she’s a truly unlikable player to watch. Cries about everything. Points fingers/acts out at teammates. Great player, but she acts like an ass
