Also disappointing that Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman didn’t show up. Booing Krause’s widow is shameful. It’s just embarrassing to be a Chicago fan. Continually stupid franchises and fans.

My mom took me to TJ Maxx before I started high school - Catholic school so I needed dress shirts, pants and ties. I’d never been there, but it felt like a step up to me. We did not shop at top end stores when I was a kid, and the majority of my clothes were hand me downs. I picked up a bunch of stuff and felt good about it. Made the mistake of not trying everything on. First day of school, I’m buttoning up my shirt, and the buttons don’t line up. Shirt is crooked. I go to my second choice - same thing. This is how being a Sox fan feels. Perpetually disappointed by bargain basement deals.

I truly hated watching Bummer pitch. He had a ton of bad luck hits against him, but he also nibbled and relied on guys chasing his pitches way out of the zone to get outs. I'm fine with a few lottery tickets in return for him.

He was great for a while. Heart of the team. Face of the franchise. It was time. I wish TA nothing but the best.

Harper’s performance - ugh. How did the Sox not make a serious run at him. He’s exactly what they needed in every way. Did they even make him an offer?

I’m sure I didn’t watch more than 10-15% of their innings this year, and I have the MLB ticket. Least I’ve ever watched when games were available to me. I probably watched no more than 5 full games (“full” = 6 innings or more of a game for this exercise) this season. The rest was an inning or two here or there. Team was excruciating to watch in all aspects.

I feel like the Shields trade had KW’s fingerprints on it. Like the LaRussa signing, it doesn’t go with the rest of the moves Hahn made. Shields seems like the kind of guy Kenny had one of his crushes on who was destined to one day join the team. Not sticking up for Hahn…it was his time to get canned, but I don’t think he was ever fully in control. Oh, and the Sox still haven’t signed a prime free agent in forever.

The narrative always becomes the team is moving/should move because “Sox fans don’t support the team.” Are we really supposed to support with blind faith a team that’s one of the least successful teams in history? Isn’t not going to games a reasonable decision?
