Middle Buffalo

He was great for a while. Heart of the team. Face of the franchise. It was time. I wish TA nothing but the best.

Yep. I remember seeing this, but it didn’t seem like a meeting in Chicago ever happened. Such a miss by the Sox.

Harper’s performance - ugh. How did the Sox not make a serious run at him. He’s exactly what they needed in every way. Did they even make him an offer?

I’m sure I didn’t watch more than 10-15% of their innings this year, and I have the MLB ticket. Least I’ve ever watched when games were available to me. I probably watched no more than 5 full games (“full” = 6 innings or more of a game for this exercise) this season. The rest was an inning or two here or there. Team was excruciating to watch in all aspects.

I don’t feel like looking back through the thread to see if I actually commented, but I feel I owe LittleHurtCG an apology. I thought this thread was ridiculous when it was created. Could not have been more wrong.

Sounds to me like Tex was involved in this somehow. Pretty quick to sweep it under the rug.

This stat implies he puts balls in play. Not in my memory.

Sox should have hired AI to be the new GM.

Where? Curious if the land he purchased is on the south side. Looking at google earth, I don’t see much vacant land around the UC.

Clevinger takes the lead in complete games by a Sox pitchers with…one.

Not for anything he did today, but I am sick of Eddie Jackson. I find him so annoying to watch.

Well, I’m thankful we didn’t draft Mike Trout and sign Shohei Otahni and waste them. That’s a plus, right?

The “friends and family” plan popularized by the Sox. JR should charge a fee when other teams do it.

I feel like the Shields trade had KW’s fingerprints on it. Like the LaRussa signing, it doesn’t go with the rest of the moves Hahn made. Shields seems like the kind of guy Kenny had one of his crushes on who was destined to one day join the team. Not sticking up for Hahn…it was his time to get canned, but I don’t think he was ever fully in control. Oh, and the Sox still haven’t signed a prime free agent in forever.

You should definitely bump all those posts. It only took 5 years.

The narrative always becomes the team is moving/should move because “Sox fans don’t support the team.” Are we really supposed to support with blind faith a team that’s one of the least successful teams in history? Isn’t not going to games a reasonable decision?

The fans.

Thief immediately dumped the tickets to the game, so likely a Sox fan.

Bummer is perfectly named. I never feel good when he enters a game.

Travis Swaggerty seems like a fake message board name. And a damn good one.

Nope. Short on sandwiches is definitely not an accurate description of Ramírez.

I think Dylan Cease is playing himself onto the 2024 White Sox with his recent efforts.

I’m slowly becoming a non sports fan. Thanks Sox, Bears, Illini, etc. Not really happy about it.

I’d feel bad for Ohtani if he signed with the Sox. They don’t deserve him. We’ll be lucky to end up with a few of his relatives.

Have him replace Boston as 1b, outfield, and base running coach.
