  1. Really thought he would make this team. Fell off completely this year it seems.
  2. Sure, fans pay their money and have the right to boo their own players, but this in part helps highlight (amongst many other reasons) why there's no good reason to do it. Hope many people feel at least somewhat ashamed today.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 6, 2012 -> 08:35 PM) Huh? I had that thing deleted in 10 seconds Damn you are quick
  4. For extreme heat, every two innings to the rain room. Miss some of the game but keep some of your breathing function
  5. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 09:45 PM) Holy mother of f*** what am I reading?! My phone literally exploded over this game. Like, the phone shut down and froze. It was hysterical! GO SOX GO! Wait but arent you the guy who always says the team and FO are awful? You may not be entitled to these good feelings....
  6. MY GREATEST MOMENT GETS AN ON-AIR MENTION!!!
  7. I know everywhere one turns, you get a prospect rankings team-by-team, or an organizational ranking......but how about something that is specifically a "young MLB players" rankings list? Prospect rankings are mercurial, but the Sox would do better in a list that would consider already-on-the-majors young talent. And it's a list I'd care about.
  8. Just got on here for some Marty-related comments Marty whereyat boy
  9. Can't wait until more pitchers start fearing Viciedo
  10. So do people with the strong Chicago-pizza beliefs go to a place like Piece on North Avenue and pretend it's bad?
  11. I don't want to credit hitting coaches, as that is the most overdone comment. I will credit an idea though -- there's too much of a downside for him when he's constantly trying to hit to all fields. Alex doesn't have to be an All-star hitter, just take it into right field when the opportunity is there. I'd rather he be an overpay and do what he's best at than try to justify the contract. If he's fine defensively, and maintains that career OPS, I don't see why people consider this the worst overpay of all time.
  12. I thought De Aza and Dunn were supposed to sit today according to everyone here? Because whenever a guy is in a slump, it's the brightest move ever to immediately say 'he should sit next game'
  13. Hawk needs to explain to me why he just said this was a "big game" How more so than tomorrow?
  14. Thank goodness for Rios' June, is all I can say
  15. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 12:34 AM) White Sox fan boy reaction to Brent Lillibridge being traded to the Red Sox This is a real diehard here. Cheer up kid, keep developing this way and you and your dad will be jumping on umpires or 1st base coaches in no time.
  16. What happened to everyone's assumptions about Rios' attitude and lack of passion affecting his game? Is it possible he just has some years where his bat is a noodle and some years where it's perfectly fine? Like many players.
  17. Phew. OK now everyone go back and rewind to last half inning
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 23, 2012 -> 09:21 PM) what's that? If you look real close, he double flipped off the camera man....then played it into a jersey popping. All in one motion you really should rewind....it's worth it, and his eye contact confirms it
  19. DVR catches something very curious from AJP in the dugout following his last strikeout
  20. Soriano seriously thought that was a ball?
  21. Hawk's world - escobar can simply equal orlando cabrera, with basically zero similar traits shared
  22. I would like to delete my "why" sub-heading as admittedly it looks beyond stupid. Am I missing that option in Edit?
  23. Surely I will get killed for this. And surely there's been many variations of this topic before. But why so much rest time during a season for the team's starting quality players? Taking lefty/righty out of it completely--why do these guys need that much rest when the game is not as physically demanding (endurance-wise) as the other major US sports? I'm sure I will hear explanations about mental health and what not but it still has always irked me, when I think about how close my team has come during some seasons, to lose by a game or two (that possibly had lesser personnel in).
