  1. Cant wait for the season, against my better judgment Dunn HR
  2. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-leag...-213929721.html Pretty sad how far behind we are on something like this from Minn.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 2, 2012 -> 02:02 PM) Rongey's partner off to a great start...saying Danks is starting. Uh, no. Floyd is. Of course Rongey says nothing. Fireable stuff here. High stakes exposé here, kudos.
  4. It's getting to the point where Conor Jackson deserves his own thread.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 1, 2012 -> 04:11 PM) TFLOW working to get off the fastball to be able to better adapt to offspeed stuff. Is this the right thing to do with Flowers? I don't know that I see him as someone who needs "fixing". What if he's just a patient fastball hitter who has some pop? To me the main question is can he catch, and if so..I don't need major changes offensively from him. If he can't, then he doesn't play.
  6. Lets hope VissAYE-ado gives us a few months of lucky BABIP performance similar to 2010...and then involve him in a package deal midyear where we get something very nice back Like with Danks to NY for Granderson and Pineda!
  7. Viciedo has a chance (not to be pessimistic)...but a chance to be a colossal disappointment. Defense just there--oh boy.
  8. April Fools! There is a thread!!!! Ha Ha Ha
  9. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 03:51 PM) What about Blackhawks ? Golf, baseball and Mad Men doesn't really scream hockey fan to me...
  10. I hate soxtalkers who read into an innocuous comment, but here I go to see if it's fun to do Robin at the end of that interview--when asked what has been surprising for him-- said that the job has been time consuming Hawk: "how bout we ask you again in the middle of the season" In two years Robin will quit and decide he'd like to do something else
  11. Former 1st round pick from 2004, went three spots after Fields. Maybe a KW-finally-gets-his-guy situation if back then he had coveted both players
  12. QUOTE (Cali @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 05:33 PM) UHHHHGGGGHHHH. I don't CARE what he's doing in Spring Training. He's proven he can't get it done in the bigs. Some players look great and ST and it doesn't translate to the regular season. He is one of them. Who in this race for the bullpen spots should have a sense of entitlement over someone like Bruney? Several spots are open for a reason......
  13. Will we likely not see Trayce bat?
  14. Great bunt Mitchell 3run HR Escobar
  15. Melton ever entertained by unAmerican names
  16. whoa, i just came in here to post "yawn" but it's already been done
  17. But does it matter that much to "be on the same page" with an advisor whose role never really matters that much in the grand scheme of things? Rudy Jaramillo hey lets pay him a ton, hey lets go on and on about how awful Greg Walker is. That'll all make us feel good about our s*** talent.
  18. This will sound greedy, but I just refuse to accept that it has to be "once in a lifetime" I know the playoffs are chaotic, but now especially with the changes being made...we should expect to be in them. With more frequency than has been the case as of late. We spend most years and don't have enough to show for it (b/c of destroyed farm system and problems in the office and dugout).
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 5, 2012 -> 04:15 PM) "Jared Mitchell was great at Auburn...I don't know I don't watch college football so I'm just guessing." o no
  20. What time tomorrow is MLB Network showing the Sox? It's on delay, right?
  21. When he was good at baseball, he was thought of as having one of the most down-to-earth, relaxed personalities in sports
  22. It's nice but for an organization so in need, boom-or-bust has dire consequences. You need this guy to be good. Unless the wallet is going to open back up nice and wide 2014 on.
  23. If you heard the golf was replacing some other negative things, you'd be all for it. Lets not pretend to know everyone's personal life, motives. We're all just making guesses at that sort of thing. Ultimately it's pointless.
  24. The best time to be a fan is when the team is about to be (possibly) really good. If we're at that point at the end of the year... no matter the record, that's a huge step forward.
  25. I looked at myself in the mirror this morning, and I'm here to report that there's no doubt: I'm legit.
