  1. Ugh, what? It's Tyler Saladino. Leg kick, or not, he kind of sucks.
  2. Again, you draw some really strange conclusions. I don't really care to debate the effectiveness of Don Cooper as a coach because Carson Fulmer can't throw strikes and Carlos Rodon hurt his shoulder.
  3. Okay, so if a pitching coach doesn't have a 100% success rate, he's ineffective? WTF? You know, you don't need to draw absolutes from every instance.
  4. I've literally never seen a poster anywhere on the internet make more strange comparisons and use more false equivalence than you. I have a theory that you and Greg are the same person just trolling all of us.
  5. And for your daily "this guy is having a good game, call him up post."
  6. Gio's slot isn't a huge deal if he can throw the curve for strikes. Knowing it's coming and hitting it are 2 different things. If he can throw it for strikes, hitters can't just lay off it. On another note, he seems like one of those OCD pitchers that's always going to be tinkering with his release point. Baseball's a strange game. The season's long and there's too much time to obsess over mechanics. It can ruin some guys. If it was me, I'd let him throw naturally and not touch him. Get him to focus on other things. Then again, I'm just a dude sitting at a computer.
  7. How many pitchers do well on absolutely terrible teams? The lack of offense really messes with pitchers. It's no coincidence the 05 team had a ton of pitchers with career years and we were almost guaranteed an early lead whenever Pods got on base.
  8. I'd absolutely love to have Semien at 3rd. He sure as hell isn't a SS.
  9. Hey man, I said it has better one liners. ? I just can't suspend disbelief when I watch these movies. I have no clue who's more powerful than who. It's totally inconsistent in that regard. I didn't for a second believe they actually killed off fucking Spiderman. I just think they're dull. They're seriously about as suspenseful Transformers for me. With that said, I think X2, Deadpool, Winter Soldier, Logan and Days of Future Past are excellent standalone movies.
  10. Disney is basically a propaganda machine at this point. I didn't have much interest in the movie and I still went to see it just to see what I was missing out on. It was fine. It's basically Transformers with much better one-liners. I definitely refuse to waste my money on Solo. There's no way I believe the positive early reviews aren't just coming from Disney shills.
  11. Yeah, I don't disagree. I just struggle to see how a guy with that kind of stuff didn't have a better career. He had a good career, but he had better potential.
  12. And Garland was absolutely filthy. He just didn't seem to have the drive to want to be great.
  13. Drops in velocity don't concern me as much as some of you guys. We're very much a pitch to contact/2 seamer/cutter organization. It's certainly not as sexy as a strikeout and the sabr guys seem to be obsessed with k's, but again, I'm not overly concerned yet.
  14. People show up to watch a winning team. Most people's fandom is determined by their family. Both teams in this city have historically sucked.
  15. Thanks God I quit drinking because this is the type of line up that would make me wake up next week in Mexico with a new wife and 4 step children.
  16. I'm not sure you know what that term means. Let me help you. Strawman Fallacy
  17. Then you bring Kopech up midseason to a terrible team that can't score runs and there's a good chance he loses command trying to strike everyone out, or worse, he fucks his arm up because he's trying to throw everything 107 MPH.
  18. The point is that there's no reason to bring the stove into a mess of a kitchen. Having the stove there doesn't help the kitchen get done quicker.
  19. Why not Ozzie? Well, that's probably enough Soxtalk for me today, boys.
  20. I almost forgot that they went on to share anecdotes about going to Sox games and nobody being there.
  21. I passed the park last week with a bunch of friends that don't follow sports. They all laughed at the sponsor. Nobody knew exactly what Guranteed Rate is.
  22. Remember that time he hit 2 grandslams in an inning? Boy, that was something.
  23. 1. KW/Hahn 2. Call em up/Called em up too soon 3. Hawk 4. Attendance 5. Tatis Jr
  24. Now we're questioning Hahn and Kenny's role? Oh Jesus. Sometimes this forum is like 3 topics repeated in every thread. Quick, somebody mention Hawk.
