  1. He was dominant. He had fastball command as well as the obvious velocity. Did not leave many pitches in the heart of the plate. Was unlucky really to even give up a run. Slider had a couple different looks it appeared, one almost looked like a changeup as far as movement, the other one was harder with more horizontal movement. Don't think he threw any true changeups, but he had the mix he needed anyways.
  2. Corpseball. It never left.
  3. Kopech tried to make it a 3 or 4 run game but he just didn't have it in him. He made a pitch when it mattered but stuff wise he looked the same as ever. Zero fastball command and the slider usually finds too much plate.
  4. I know you aren't going to s%*# where you sleep but any argument that absolves Getz of blame for the lack of overall org talent isn't going to fly. He was part and parcel of it.
  5. Loyalty is the lowest virtue but in our org it's the most important, including over being good at your job.
  6. Holy f*** this is almost verbatim what the Hahn Defense Force would say in his defense. Guess what, if he doesn't think his bosses are any good or are hamstringing him -- he's free to go work somewhere else.
  7. Getz also needs to ditch the sportcoat and oxford look. I associate that with douchebags.
  8. I should have gotten that OU of -62.5 when it was out there.
  9. Literally the only thing that matters long term is the pitching rehab guys showing out, so in that sense it was a good game. But anybody that thinks this team is going to surprise is a fool. We're just going to lose 100 games 3-1 or 4-0 instead of 6-3 or 9-6 like prior years.
  10. We have zero walks, announcer talking up our plate discipline.
  11. Benitendi is the biggest contract the Sox have given out. PUKE.
  12. One hit through 8 innings, nobody past 1B, and announcers talking up the defense. You have to OUTSCORE the other team, not just prevent them from scoring.
  13. It's fun to be with you guys on opening day and watch Sox baseball but man this offense might be the worst in our lifetimes. It's going to get old fast.
  14. That was a nasty pitch. More like that. Good job getting out of it. NOW LET'S SCORE SOME RUNS!
  15. Terrible hitting conditions right now. Surprised Stone hasn't pointed it out, that's his thing.
