Well part of the reason they have been called upon so much (and performed) is because of how bad Dallas has been. If Lopez can go 5 innings and give up 3 runs instead of Dallas going 2 and giving up 5 that's going to save the bullpen and win a few more games at the same time. There's no reason not to try out Reynaldo as a starter right now. He's shown real growth both physically and mentally. Who knows, maybe the dude is like a 2 WAR starter now. It's worth trying because Dallas is putting up historically awful numbers.

protect Katz at all costs. This dude has taken the Sox from near the bottom to around the top or at the top when it comes to pitching development using analytics.

Jason's style works great for the occasional national game or a random B1G hoops game in December. It is nails on a chalkboard for 140+ days a year. Stone is just mailing it in at this point. He should probably retire.

I'm a lot less worried after watching some of these pitching performances. There is still a lot of promising young talent on the staff and it's getting better every day. That said, I think 90 wins is the goal now or even 88. Just win the division and go from there.

All those stats just show the offense is getting carried by the pitching not vice versa.
