We must have the worst MLB scouting in baseball. It's not hard to find relievers, they are, for the most part, fungible. And yet we are finding guys (AND PAYING THEM ABOVE LEAGUE MIN) just to get DFA two weeks into the season. What are we doing here?

You're a good newish poster and I get what you're saying. It happens on sports message boards every season, some fans would rather be proven right then watch their team win. Other than maybe Parkman, I don't think we have any of those types here.

Nobody roots for failure. More cynical posters do take some pleasure in being proven right, as we should.

I mean on paper this is an 82-84 win club. It appears the offense has regressed positively just in time for Hahn to build one of his bullpen specials. So yea, I have no idea why anybody would expect 90+ wins with the talent we have. Compared to two years ago the pitching talent is down across the entire board.

It's slightly alarming that if we aren't going to get 6 strong innings from our starters we appear to be in danger of giving up 10+ runs.
