  1. This team is far from boring, just not in a good way. I thought pretty much the same thing. Knew they’d be worse due to having much less talent, but I thought they’d be fundamentally solid.
  2. I’m still not sold that Ohtani wasn’t involved with his incident, and I wouldn’t put it past MLB to go along with it because he’s their biggest star and a huge foreign draw. In case it wasn’t clear what I was getting at.
  3. Good point. Athletes aren’t known to be the smartest.
  4. I do wonder if all of these stem from people snitching on these guys. Otherwise, I’m not sure how these guys get caught as it’s not illegal to bet through the online portals. It’s obviously different for guys going through illegal books.
  5. Any chance he conveniently has a translator that had access to all of his money? Oh, he’s just a fringe prospect. Nope then.
  6. Dude, I came into this thread to make this exact joke except I was gonna say that this sounds like an old Negro League player.
  7. I mean, he’s technically the guy you’re dealing with the most as a fan. Individual players aren’t involved in every play, but you’re hearing the announcer every minute of every game. If he sucks, he’s going to make the experience of watching a game worse. Seems reasonable to complain about it. Doesn't matter to me. I mainly watch games on mute while doing something else. Not sure I’d even know the guy’s voice if I heard it.
  8. Pham joins the long list of players on this year’s team that can get fucked. What a boner.
  9. I’ve been telling you guys. This can be pretty enjoyable as long as you stop caring. It’s fun seeing them find ways to suck.
  10. With Vaughn and Benintendi hurt, the Sox are probably better. This puts the loss record in jeopardy. I’m not being sarcastic.
  11. That’s patently false. At least half of the guys the Sox put out there were not outfielders.
  12. Where do you come up with these associations? You truly have the mind of a psychopath and I love it.
  13. I don’t know why they’re even projecting that many wins at this point. They’re on pace for 118 losses right now. And just as with last season, they will trade the halfway decent players and likely be even worse down the stretch.
  14. Our childhood memories?
  15. You can have both. Examples are Pham, Fedde, and Crochet.
  16. AV! Get that man an extension while his value is down, JR.
  17. This inning is objectively hilarious. And if there’s a grand slam, it is the funniest of the season.
  18. It was an antonym joke.
  19. I understand you guys are backing up your arguments with stats, but I refuse to believe that Joe West wasn’t the worst ever. He was certainly the least likable.
  20. I’m not sure you understand what a homer announcer is.
  21. I assume he has a name, but he’s only ever referred to on this site as Leyland’s kid ?
  22. Didn’t watch a second of this game, just dropping in to say happy birthday to @Kyyle23!
  23. Nobody on the team is a starting anything.
