  1. Ha! Adios, dipshit. “I usually only represent baseball players, but I guess I’ll make an exception.”
  2. By definition, mid-rotation would have to be either 2-4 or just 3. Some semantics to go along with the grammar discussion.
  3. Thinking about when the Sox picked up Vazquez, I still get a boner. That rotation was absolutely disgusting on paper and all JV had to be was the fifth starter. Then the addition of Thome and that team should’ve been something else.
  4. No, there’s a pretty bonkers Frasier discussion going on in SLaM.
  5. I think you mean “imply”.
  6. Designated for assignment by the Marlins. That is definitely the end of one’s career.
  7. Ah, ideally he’s not an attempted murderer like his uncle.
  8. Right back at you. I understand it’s a heated topic.
  9. Simply because I’m not looking at everything through that lens? If that’s how you see things, more power to you. I was looking at it purely as numbers.
  10. In regards to Chicago specifically, I generally don’t think of there being a “majority” at all. I basically consider it to be equally distributed. So when someone says it’s a majority black plus Hispanic, it doesn’t quite add up in my mind. Like I mentioned before, it could also be considered to be black plus white, or Hispanic plus white. Just seems an odd way of breaking it up. He explains it better.
  11. Basically every day, but I suppose more regularly south of 31st.
  12. I guess I never really hear it phrased the way he put it. In this instance, I’d think a more normal way to phrase it would be the majority is non-white. Easier to parse and not get confused. More just about how different people can read the same things in different ways.
  13. Oh boy, don’t turn it into this crap ? We were arguing numbers, not politics.
  14. Looking at the map they use, I didn’t realize that the parts of Bridgeport north of 31st street were such low percentage white. Learn something new every day.
  15. That is possible, but it certainly doesn’t seem that way. I’m there a lot. Unless Chinatown is considered to be part of Bridgeport?
  16. So it’s also mainly white and black? Or mainly white and Hispanic?
  17. Are you arguing specifically about the South Side and not Chicago overall? Also, what is the majority in Bridgeport?
  18. Where are you getting this? I’m honestly curious. I’d always heard what I said earlier and I looked it up again just to be sure. And SS2K5 posted a different one than what I saw which also agreed.
  19. Chicago is pretty well known to have almost equal distributions of black, Hispanic, and white.
  20. There are like 3 different guys on the Dodgers who look like Freeman when they’re at the plate.
  21. “Have some anonymous schmuck put 50 grand on the over.” But like, in Japanese.
  22. That guy who only delivers 6 days a week? Pfft. To be fair, that was likely happening either way.
  23. Also white. Unless I missed a joke?
  24. Guys, I’m hearing tonight’s game is sold out.
