Right back at you. I understand it’s a heated topic.

Okey dokey.

Simply because I’m not looking at everything through that lens? If that’s how you see things, more power to you. I was looking at it purely as numbers.

In regards to Chicago specifically, I generally don’t think of there being a “majority” at all. I basically consider it to be equally distributed. So when someone says it’s a majority black plus Hispanic, it doesn’t quite add up in my mind. Like I mentioned before, it could also be considered to be black plus white, or Hispanic plus white. Just seems an odd way of breaking it up. He explains it better.

Basically every day, but I suppose more regularly south of 31st.

I guess I never really hear it phrased the way he put it. In this instance, I’d think a more normal way to phrase it would be the majority is non-white. Easier to parse and not get confused. More just about how different people can read the same things in different ways.

Oh boy, don’t turn it into this crap ? We were arguing numbers, not politics.

Looking at the map they use, I didn’t realize that the parts of Bridgeport north of 31st street were such low percentage white. Learn something new every day.

That is possible, but it certainly doesn’t seem that way. I’m there a lot. Unless Chinatown is considered to be part of Bridgeport?

So it’s also mainly white and black? Or mainly white and Hispanic?
-
Latest attendance check...
Are you arguing specifically about the South Side and not Chicago overall? Also, what is the majority in Bridgeport?

Where are you getting this? I’m honestly curious. I’d always heard what I said earlier and I looked it up again just to be sure. And SS2K5 posted a different one than what I saw which also agreed.

Chicago is pretty well known to have almost equal distributions of black, Hispanic, and white.

There are like 3 different guys on the Dodgers who look like Freeman when they’re at the plate.

“Have some anonymous schmuck put 50 grand on the over.” But like, in Japanese.

That guy who only delivers 6 days a week? Pfft. To be fair, that was likely happening either way.

Damn, That's a Lot of Employees
I guess they are some of the few employees that are attempting to do their jobs. I got an email from them today trying to get me to buy tickets. It did not work. Stopped reading and deleted it as soon as I realized what it was.

We’re definitely taking it somewhere, but it ain’t the chin.

I actually don’t hate that idea, but I have also put zero further thought into it.

I dunno, trying to keep the silly trend going.

That stuff is delicious. I occasionally buy a bottle while doing the normal grocery shopping. What does this mean? I saw you posted it in the other thread as well.

Greg, you’re a good dude, but you have to be in the tiniest minority of Sox fans that liked that move. I cannot think of a single person I talked to that was happy about it.

The DUI had little to do with it, although it certainly didn’t help. It was the fact that we were the destination for a manager. We could have had our pick of basically anyone, instead we went with a decrepit old prick who hadn’t managed in years. It was, at least symbolically, the first step into the gutter from that potential success we were looking forward to.
