First, I want to say thank you for keeping this place up and running. Second, there’s a minor issue I’ve experienced. I have to check the “Remember Me” box when I sign in, otherwise it will not log in successfully.

The Giants have tried very hard the last two days to give the Sox a win. I’ve noticed that in a few recent series. A lot of these teams aren’t very good. We are really just that bad.

The problem is that those teams likely allocate their money better. They probably invest in things like their minor leagues, analytics, and the international market. The Sox usually just have a higher payroll, but they spend that payroll on C-level talent in the hopes of catching lightning in a bottle. Most fans would prefer to either spend more freely or to invest in the above areas, but it’s not our call.

Greg, they’re not rebuilding because the fans want them to. They’re doing it because the situation is so fucked up that rebuilding is the only way out other than spending a fucking ton of money. And most fans know that this ownership isn’t going to spend a fucking ton of money, so the only option is to hope they get lucky in rebuilding. Unfortunately, they screw everything up, so they’re likely do screw up the rebuild. It’s basically a no-win situation.

I think it’s being looked at as purely the most number of losses.

I didn’t catch a lot of either of these games, but though they still didn’t look good, the Sox seemed to be trying a little harder. Not sure if that’s a compliment to Sizemore or just from the shakeup in general. And does anyone else get annoyed with the pronunciation of Pete Crow-Armstrong’s name? It is the last name that is hyphenated, but everyone pronounces it like it’s Petecrow Armstrong.

I honestly had to think for a second about who that was. Can’t believe how quickly I forgot about Fields.

The answer to all three is “no”.

As soon as the trade deadline passed. Keep him healthy and try to trade again in the offseason, that’s how I see it. No problem at all, my man. Definitely better to get happy drunk than angry/sad drunk.
