Hawk can't stand to watch Sox.
I’ve read that Hawk has privately belittled the franchise. Weirdly, I also read that the Dolphins QB is a fan, but isn’t very happy about the direction of the team. Think the article was in the Athletic. ”Hawk, Tua spit on that thing”

Hawk can't stand to watch Sox.
We all know that JR is very good and loyal to his people. It’s no surprise that people who left his sphere in good standing would continue to carry water for him.

The funnest poll
They can’t break it in the first series against the Angels. They’d only be at 120 if they lost every game up to that point. That being said, I am refraining from voting because I’m superstitious.

Reinsdorf releases statement to say he'll speak more later
Do they even have a PR firm? I feel like that is one of those unnecessary costs in JR’s cheap-ass handbook.

9/11 Game Thread
I’m just trying not to get my hopes up. I want this record. And I want it to be shattered, if possible.

9/11 Game Thread
But they’re actually a good team. The A’s and Angels are two of the worst teams in baseball. I could see a couple wins in there.

9/11 Game Thread
Eh, they still have the A’s and Angels coming up. I could see them winning as many as 4 games between those series. They are out of contention too. Of course the Sox could get swept by both. 😆

Is that an all-time record or team record? Gotta get our future DH some swings. And I may not be talking about Sheets.

24-25 NFL Thread
In a sense, it was actually better to see them win ugly yesterday than if they rolled. It shows that the team is able to win even when they shouldn’t. The defense picked up the offense, and it’s likely to happen in the opposite direction at some point. The offense will clearly get better (barring injuries). Since the future HOFer David Carr, I believe.

Sox trying to fix Vargas
That’s pretty much how I see it, too.

Sox trying to fix Vargas
To be fair, this franchise has been mediocre to bad far more often than it has been good. And this season is clearly terrible. So the pessimistic/realist viewpoint has been, in my opinion, the correct take much more often.

That’s the other thing about the eternal optimist posters. They will argue all day for months/years about a player (or manager, etc.). You can throw all the stats, player history, and personal observations at them. They will argue that it’s too early, you gotta give it time, the coaches/management know what they’re doing, etc. And when the player/manager is designated for assignment or cut or fired, they still won’t admit to being wrong. It’s always, “oh, so sue me for wanting a guy to do well and not just shitting on everything the organization does.” Anyone who’s been here for an extended amount of time has seen it a thousand times.
