  1. What is with this? You talk about bringing in white guys in a way that’s obviously supposed to be derogatory, then mention guys named Lopez and Maldonado. Why even bring race into it? I mean, 5 members of the opening day starting lineup were minorities.
  2. Hahahaha. I actually said they were going to win about halfway through the 4th quarter. Figured since Washington couldn’t break the game open, the Bears would sneak out with a last minute win.
  3. Maybe I’m the only person that doesn’t give a s%*# about this World Series. I haven’t turned on one second of the games.
  4. At the very least, it seems like they’re going through a real process this time and conducting an actual search. Although I’m sure they’ll hire the wrong guy in the end.
  5. So, anyone who managed here and went to another team left for an arguably worse franchise each time? Still doesn’t say much about our choices and what this franchise does to careers.
  6. For someone to not remember such enormous aspects of the 2005 playoffs, it makes me think they weren’t actually that into it.
  7. Cleveland absolutely blowing this for themselves.
  8. No, I do not believe there is.
  9. I just mean that the thread started with a rumor and multiple pages of good arguments why it would or wouldn’t happen. Then it devolved into nonsense.
  10. Why the f*** am I reading this thread anymore?
  11. I have absolutely no interest in a Dodgers-Yankees WS. Give me the Yankees, I guess, but I won’t be watching any games. The Yankees were the best team in the AL pretty much the entire season. Just because they didn’t wow you in the exactly two games you watched them doesn’t change that.
  12. 1) I’m sure this is a scummy JR ploy to get his way. Nobody should be dumb enough to fall for it and cave to his demands. 2) Even if it’s true and they play to move the team. Good. Go.
  13. I think I’m gonna regret asking, but how so? I don’t know anything about him outside his playing days.
  14. Not sure what the argument is here exactly, but it’s harder for the batter to hit the ball than for the pitcher to throw it past him. So if anything, a batter that stays alive that long should earn a walk rather than the pitcher earn an out.
  15. You actually make me root against our own players.
  16. Yes, but how many hits did the Yankees have?
  17. I would simply win and not lose. What are you idiots not understanding? Couldn’t be simpler.
  18. Well, this round is shaping up to be more interesting than the last one.
  19. Shortest Caulfield post of all time.
  20. I believe he played baseball. Off topic: With all due respect, if this guy played today, we’d have definitely nicknamed him Hairy Chapped Ass after his first bad game.
  21. RIP. But is @Harry Chappas ok?
  22. But he will stream of consciousness rattle off 6,000 other names in completing the quiz.
  23. No way I could, not even gonna try. In fact, I guarantee there’d be names I’d swear I’ve never heard before.
