Oh man, I thought the Bears were gonna score there and I was about to post something positive about how this game was going. But then…

My automatic response is to immediately apologize when bumping into anyone.

They won 5 last year. Looking at their schedule, 5 wins is probably the best they’re looking at this season.

I was joking before, but they’ll seriously have to lose 4 games before they’re eliminated from the playoffs. They’ll justify 3 losses, but 4 can’t be justified.

Williams may end up being a good QB, perhaps even the best in franchise history. But as it stands, I think people are disappointed and worried because he hasn’t shown us much and he was called a generational talent. There were professionals saying he was the best they ever saw, better tools than Manning, etc. It’s hard to hear that stuff and then watch him play like every other QB we’ve ever had. Also, we have like no running game. Every handoff seemed destined to fail immediately. Let’s not pretend we don’t all know who that’ll be.

Ice-cold take. First of all, unless that ball is in your hands, it’s anyone’s. Doesn’t matter how far someone ran to get it. Secondly, I would get suspended for saying the words I’d use to describe grown men (and women) who grab balls/hats/etc. that were intended for children.

I want to genuinely thank you for finding this. I’ve quoted this stat many times over the years, but I could never actually find the game you mentioned. I remember watching it happen and thinking it was special at the time, but then I couldn’t remember when it happened 😆

Buehrle needed only to stick around for a few more years and he probably would’ve gotten to 250 wins or very close, and he’d be in. I respect his decision to walk away though, and I don’t think he cares about getting into the Hall. He may yet, but it’ll be the Veterans Committee or something. @Jake, were the majority of those stolen bases Ichiro?

I’m not sure why people feel a need to couch their statements. The guy was a fucking icon. No need to be anything but complimentary of him at his passing. The man was wrestling.
