  1. Getting this done early so I can’t forget later. I’m gonna end up being on the hook for the longest winning streak of the year, aren’t I?
  2. I think most people believe they all need to be fired, the entire coaching staff and front office. So even if Katz hasn’t been as terrible as the rest, he has to go with them.
  3. Very similar climate to Cuba.
  4. Ah f***, I don’t wanna make another thread tomorrow.
  5. If it’s the signed ball from his singular hit of the season, it may actually be worth something.
  6. Preposterous! How far will this franchise sink? ?
  7. I think you underestimate the number of people hate watching. I personally know a lot of people who are watching games (some not even Sox fans), but it’s for all the wrong reasons. A lot of fans are really sick of ownership/management and are kind of enjoying this plane crash.
  8. I went to sleep after the 7th inning absolutely sure the game was over since the Mariners seemed to have nothing going for them. Woke up to see this ? I’ve been very slow to believe they would actually break the loss record, but now I’m confident they will.
  9. I knew the name of the voice actress, but I did not realize that was his wife. Learn something new every day.
  10. “I’ve never heard a good thing.” Yeah, that’s how I imagine everyone outside of the organization and fanbase sees us. While this is true, nobody has done more damage to this team than JR.
  11. This is worse than watching a little league game.
  12. I see we’re all asking the same question. I logged in specifically to ask. He thought the runner was on first instead of third?
  13. I’ve been trying to catch up with this thread, but it just keeps getting longer. Can someone let me know if it’s worth catching up on, or is it the same handful a posters making and re-making the same points without any openness to the other side’s argument?
  14. A few months too late. His value was never going to be higher than this past offseason when he had just had an entire healthy year. But yes, trade anyone of value.
  15. There are still quite a few innings left, but I’m pretty sure they’re not winning. That’s where I’m disagreeing. Guys with no real shot that are looking for their big break, sure they’ll take it. But nobody with any buzz, or any pedigree, or really any up and comer is taking it.
  16. I only care that my joke was funny. I’m not reading it anyway.
  17. Is it mean-spirited? Yes. But there’s very little a frustrated and neglected fanbase can do on a national level to draw attention to such shitty ownership/management to embarrass them. I support this, but there’s no way I’m wasting my own time voting.
  18. I’ll say it. For three ghosts to visit JR.
  19. Have we fallen under .500 for JR’s tenure as owner? That guy deserves it.
  20. LOLOLOLOLOL I fucking love this team.
  21. BREAKING: Manager with career winning percentage near .333 and current team on pace for worst season in baseball history is in peril of being shitcanned. Sports writers are really good at getting those scoops.
  22. I reined in my pessimism when I should’ve leaned into it. Rookie mistake.
  23. This is in no way for sure, but a cursory Google search indicates that the lowest season batting average was .074 by Joe Werrick in 1884. That seems like another doable record for this team.
