  1. I totally respect where you’re coming from. My way of keeping cool is by laughing at the team. To me, it’s the next best thing to cheering for a competitive team. Quigley?
  2. You can’t tell you’re from California at all ? But seriously, how could finding some enjoyment in the inevitable losing be bad?
  3. I guess you don’t always gotta believe.
  4. Appreciate the optimism. Not much of that to go around recently. Also glad to hear that Noah Schultz is indeed a guy, as I’d long suspected.
  5. It certainly brings the boys to the yard. Wow, we really do deserve to be relocated or contracted. Just a complete embarrassment of a franchise not just recently, but historically. I get comments almost every time I wear a Sox shirt like “rough year” or something similar. My response is usually “eh, it’s a shirt and it still fits”. Don’t want people to think I actually care.
  6. More reasons to hate cheap piece of s%*# owners of franchises that never really try to win. Yep. Scan that s%*#. A fact I’m sure our owner is well aware of.
  7. To be fair, you want a good foundation when you’re living in the basement.
  8. When you think about it, it’s perfect that they’re asking for a new stadium during this train wreck of a season. It should be the easiest “no” for the politicians. JR has to have almost zero leverage. What do you know?
  9. Literally zero parts of that parlay came in haha.
  10. That’s why it’s actually kind of fun. They’re so bad that you enjoy seeing how much they can lower the bar. Try to enjoy the time with your kid, because you ain’t winning money if you need all of those things to happen.
  11. I mean…I wasn’t lying ?
  12. Hard to believe we’re this bad with averages that good.
  13. Same here. He’s certainly the most likely guy in that picture. That’s for sure.
  14. Live in the area so just walk. Gotta be honest, I didn’t watch the game very much. Mostly watched the occasional pitch between conversations. Usually didn’t even know who was batting. Didn’t make it up to the stadium club. I’ve actually never even been up there. Do you have to pay extra to get up there? It was too cold for that crap anyway. I talked myself out of the soft serve sundae and rainbow cone because of the weather. Settled for a churro.
  15. Mostly to eat. Get an urge for ballpark food every once in a while. Sometimes to enjoy the weather (not tonight). Tickets were from a resale site. No parking. Probably spent about $40 or so on food for myself. Gotta be closer to half that actually in attendance.
  16. I want to feel like that, too, Chris. But I do not.
  17. Imagine how much worse it would be if he wasted this year?
  18. I was there, but didn’t hear it. Shame. I would’ve joined in.
  19. Poor Shaw. Rode the guy into the ground and tossed him aside.
  20. Seems none of Robert, Eloy, or Moncada are to see those 150 games.
  21. The Juice.
  22. Do any of you know someone in your personal life who is extremely cheap? It’s like a disease. They put so much effort into acquiring their money and keeping it that when they’ve reached the point of being able to spend some of it to enjoy themselves or better their life, they just can’t let it go. That’s how I view JR. He could spend a little bit more money in the right spots (scouting, analytics, etc.) and improve his product exponentially which will lead to more revenue. He simply can’t bring himself to let go of that money.
  23. Dude, we all know it’s 100% true.
  24. I just don’t care enough about another team to start following them. I would simply stop watching baseball. MLB as a whole should be more concerned than JR about that mindset, as I’m positive I’m not the only person in that boat.
