In my attempts to avoid work today, I was looking up some older stats. In doing so, I realized that Don Sutton retired in 1988 but didn't get elected to the HOF until 1998. Why did it take that long?

This rumor is already making its way around, it seems. I walked into my house and the first thing my roommate says to me is that he heard the Sox traded for Michael Young. Unless it happened in the 15 minutes it took me to get home from work, I knew it had to be false, but checked online anyway. He said he was told that it was Young + cash for Teahen + Viciedo + a minor league pitcher.

PSH in Capote was also very effeminate, but these last two were based on real people, so who knows.
