  1. QUOTE (ptatc @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 08:14 PM) Fans expect the football players to be mean nasty and help them win their bets or football pools. Also there are no sacred records like the HR record in football. Baseball is supposed to be for the normal people, has the sacred records and is difficult to bet on. Exactly. And then you have to consider that the average football player is much bigger and stronger. For most people, it's just easier to look at football and immediately figure that most guys are on steroids.
  2. QUOTE (TheBlackSox8 @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 08:26 PM) more T4 news Josh Brolin offered role? I really like Brolin, and I didn't realize it until the last year or so.
  3. False...although this Mr. Perfect avatar has been there well over two years straight. It might even be three years. The person below me is post #57 in this thread.
  4. Sons Of Anarchy season finale in about 35 minutes.
  5. I have dated almost exclusively brunettes, but I LOVE redheads. I swear, girls that are just "meh" look gorgeous to me, as long as they have red hair.
  6. QUOTE (TCQ @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) Its the context it was in. It was the title of a thread on a sports website. It was obviously meant to be funny and yes if you cant recognize that and have to jump on the fcc bandwagon and shout racism, then your ignorant. Hehehe.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 12:50 PM) Justin Turner is a poor mans version of Pedroia/Eckstein. Hell of a player in college at Fullerton. I'd rather look at Danny Dorn who has some power potential but not the greatest average (another former Titan). Is he related to Roger?
  8. True, all the time. The person below me is Catholic.
  9. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 02:05 PM) My typing is the last thing to go when I'm drunk, I mean unless you're about to pass out there's no reason at all anybody with a wpm over 75 should be sloshing their palms across the keyboard like a retarded seal. It's a motor skill, kinda like walking. I agree entirely. But, this is also coming from a guy who blew a .02 on a sobriety test after having 8 beers.
  10. False, I knew my vote wouldn't count much. The person below me is awesome.
  11. What a crazy b****, to take his phone and check it while he's on a stretcher.
  12. It's been a really slow few days here.
  13. QUOTE (The Critic @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 09:14 PM) Sparkling grape juice, isn't it? I get that for my 8-year-old. Exactly, and it's delicious. It's one of those things that comes around yearly, and I just have to have it when I can (Cadbury Creme Eggs, etc.). And no, I do not like non-alcoholic beer.
  14. QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 01:12 PM) thats a pretty sweet picture I was just a little took quick on the snap.
  15. HHH...This one would have been a lot better, had I waited one millisecond longer for him to do the spit thing. Batista...That was the best timed picture of the night. Undertaker Big Show Cryme Tyme HBK Survivor Series Logo I took about 30 pictures, but some of them are pretty foggy due to the smoke from the fireworks. There were also some other pretty good ones, but they were of Kung Fu Naki and other crap.
  16. We had pretty good seats, but were directly across from the entrance, so the pictures I took are all kind of far away. Anyone know how I can post a picture from my computer?
  17. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 10:39 PM) I hope Viciedo homers off these kids’ multiples times in the minors so we can mock the Pirates and their version of an international sighing. That being said, I think that India has a lot of potential as an unexplored region of baseball talent. It’s amazing to think that only 6 or 7 years ago it was the Midwest of the USA that was under-scouted. And now we’re global And for you sticklers: No I don’ t think Viciedo will ever meet these kids in the minors. And yes, I agree they’ll need for time in the minors then he’ll ever need There are over a billion people in India. You think?
  18. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 10:23 PM) The PPV was decent at best last night. Best match of the night was the Team Orton/Team Batista match. Although, the best moment was Edge winning the title...simply because i'm such an Edge mark. p.s. last night proved that Kozlov is nowhere near ready for a main event. That was an awful 12 minutes. The end to the Undertaker/Big Show match was so gay. There was a collective "really?" from the crowd.
  19. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) Here's a clue: when eight hours have gone by and there are 35 posts, there probably isn't much to it. It'd be different if there was even the slightest hint from a sportswriter, radio station, or at least a "friend in the organization" mentioned in the first post.
  20. Threads that are entirely baseless should be tagged as such. I'm tired of opening a thread to see that it's just someone's idea.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 10:20 AM) Trip was good. Was absolutely freezing on the Saturday, we walked from South Station to Quincy Market at Fanueli Hall and had some lunch (New England Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl). Then we walked to Beacon Hill, looked in the Cheers Pub, went to another pub, and then back to our accomodation on Hemenway. Then we went out to some bars around Fenway, and ended up in the city centre and in a few bars then. Actually was talking to a guy at the bar at 1 place about American Sports for 2 hours, even if he was a Cubs fan. Yesterday, we went to Havard in the morning, and then yesterday afternoon we were going to go to the Boston Tea Party Museum, until we found out that it was burnt down a few years ago. Oops. I liked the city, but it was just WAY too cold for me there. Would like to go back in the Summertime. It was unseasonably cold over the weekend. It's not always that bad.
  22. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Nov 22, 2008 -> 09:07 PM) i cant get one out I can't be the only person who laughed at this statement.
