Office Coffee Etiquette
QUOTE (daa84 @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 05:31 PM) something similar outside the office dealing with roomates.....we had one of those brita water filters that you fill up and stick in the fridge, and every damn time id go to grab some it would have like a quarter of a cup left, or sometimes be completely empty... seriously you have to be a huge Dbag to put the thing back in the fridge completely empty....refill the damn thing its not so much that i wanted the water filtered (i could give a f***, if it came out of the tap at like 36 degrees id would be fine) i just liked cold water Well, la-de-dah, Mr. Fancypants. I suppose you would also prefer a clean glass?

Sox enter rebuilding phase
I wouldn't have minded a trade for Taveras earlier, but now we know he's hurt. The f***ing Nationals (I'm pretty sure it was them) wouldn't take him because he couldn't pass a physical. Anderson has earned a starting spot. He did everything asked of him last year, and I didn't hear any complaints. Give him the chance he has worked for.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 11:51 PM) Jeff Hardy finally gets his title run. ...hooray?... Also, HBK gets to make his sad face for a few weeks at least. He's working for JBL now because he spent a lot of money (sniff sniff) in the 80's and had to pay for his back and knee surgeries himself ( ). I hate the HBK sad face - I'd much prefer to see him in a Scott Hall or Road Warrior Hawk "relapse" angle rather than that stupid puss he puts on his face when he's trying to be intense or defeated. Less than a year ago, I believe, McMahon said that Hardy would never get another push.

QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 03:40 PM) If you read you would have seen I was talking about the "man card" that alot of people refer to now . Not just being or acting like man. Forget it,I dont know why I even bother with you. Where'd that come from? I can't tell if you're being serious or joking. Either way, that sounds like something my girlfriend would say.

DJ to the radio booth?
QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 02:57 AM) Holy Crap DJ is just a glutton for punishment. Luckily I have no way of listening to the broadcasts. DJ was Hawk's b****, he's gonna be Farmio's cum rag. You put it so eloquently.

QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 08:49 AM) The man card is overrated, its never helped any man getting a piece from the ladies so it really isnt worth two s***s IMO. Just throwing my two cents in about the man card now that you bring it up. You can't be a man and get laid? Sorry.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 12:01 PM) It's funny that you bring him up, I just watched like 2 hours of Zevon videos on youttube yesterday. He was an awesome songwriter & musician and I really miss him. You ever watch his final appearance on Letterman? The way he handled his own imminent death was really respectable and enviable, in a way.

Official 2008-2009 NFL Thread
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 12:41 AM) Woops. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2604395 Whoops* But either way, I'm not sure his performance on the field changes depending on his personal problems. Jones gets arrested and cannot play.

DJ to the radio booth?
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 12:05 AM) I actually like this. I think DJ is good, but he and Hawk never mixed together right. I think the chemistry between Hawk and Stone (not to mention Stone is great) is going to be fantastic, and I think DJ and Farmer will mix well, especially with their senses of humor. It's because Hawk sucks. DJ was always good when he did Fox Saturday games. Hawk brings him down with his terrible, terrible play-by-play. If Hawk wasn't such a complete homer, he'd have been fired long ago, by any organization.

KW to be on the Score
QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 06:26 PM) I respectfully request that you allow the joke to continue, if for no reason other than its accuracy. The joke should only stop once we have better options than CR/AP to pencil into our rotation. I'd also like to point out, that while not very funny, Lance Broadway's initials L.B. can be read as "pound," and when placed in front of CR/AP like so (LB/CR/AP) it can be read as "pound of crap." Streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch.

QUOTE (Shadows @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 05:44 PM) Uh, there is no way TO would ever play for the Titans.. They kicked Pacmans ass out of town, what makes you think they would ever accept Owens? Well, TO's problems are all on the field. Jones gets arrested every other week. There's some difference, although the Titans probably wouldn't take him like you said.

Yankees Sign Burnett
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 02:44 PM) Carl Pavano and Jaret Wright being the prime examples after the 2004 season. It's definitely too much for Burnett, but it's tough to compare him to Pavano and Wright. He's way better than those two, but the injury issues remain.

De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao
QUOTE (The Critic @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 02:28 PM) Well, he busted Show's nose, but he didn't knock him out. Show was kind of dumb to put his face out unprotected against a guy who doesn't know how to pull a punch. Psst, it was a joke.

We probably wouldn't be very good after making those moves, KHP.

KW to be on the Score
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 01:52 PM) -Williams sorta danced around it, but basically said they tried to win another World Series with the core from the 2005 team, and while they had succses, it didn't ultimately happen, and now it's time to sorta get younger. -Wants to have young players on the team, but not have them carry the load. Ease them into the game slowly. -Mentioned now having the inventory to make that deadline move that he hasn't been able to make in years past because of a lack of a farm system.(I mentioned that last year, that Williams is finding out how important it is to have those pieces). -Talked about not needing the "name" player to make impact (Aka name=money). -Unsure about how the fan support is going to be, given the economic landscape. Says Sox need to hold up their end of the bargin, and confident the fans will show. -Mentioned that Dayan this season is taking the exact figure that Swisher had last year. He looks at Swisher trade as Marquez-Nunuez-Dayan(no mention of Betemit for whatever reason) -Somehow, they are slightly over budget right now. However, there is no pressure right now to lower that number. -Asked the question if Beckham could be up here by mid season, Williams answered with "We are confident in Getz and Lillibridge at 2nd". He did however say he is a very special player, and sometimes special players force the issue. Again, I really hope that's just a smokescreen. Either way, I'm starting to get worried. The winter meetings have passed, and we did nothing. We didn't even pick anyone up in the Rule V draft.

De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao
QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 11:30 PM) Because PBF has been KO'ed by hard hitters so many times before? I don't get where you are coming up with this idea that MP is going to KO Mayweather if they fight. Also, if Mayweather doesn't have enough KO power to put down MP maybe you should watch the Hatton fight again. The dude knocked the Big Show right the f*** out. He's got some KO power.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) I agree, but coming from Gene, it's kinda funny. This is a guy who has made no secret of how many groupies he's nailed throughout the years. I guess doing it wasn't disrespectful to those women and telling about it isn't disrespectful to his wife. Nice job Geno. I don't think he's raping these groupies. I think by their very definition, groupies want to get nailed by the band. He's providing a service, and everyone wins.

QUOTE (BobDylan @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 08:46 AM) Just a general comment here: The Dark Knight was a good movie. But judging on some of the comments here and other people I run into every day, if I had not seen it myself, I'd have to assume it was the greatest movie ever made. It wasn't even the best movie of the year, let alone among the top 5. Not only that, Batman Begins was better. And furthermore, Batman Begins isn't the best of the series. Moving on... Anyone that's seen Synecdoche, New York... can you make sense of it for me? (Besides the overall general point of the movie Kaufman was after.) Why the hell was that woman's house on fire? And the realtor's son living in the basement? Did the clocks/time play any significance? What was Kaufman trying to get across by jumping all around the sequence of time? What else? I agree with everything you said, except maybe the last line of the first paragraph. The fact that men were using the word "breathtaking" to describe that movie was hilarious. If I ever used that word to describe anything, I'd hand in my man card.

The KFC girls
QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 12:52 AM) ...and hot chicks get a lot more action, so their va jay jay is more likely to be um, in need of cleaning.....yet another theory. This isn't necessarily true at all. I've known plenty of ugly girls that were huge whores. If a girl isn't too attractive, she might just give it up to anyone at almost any time. A prettier girl can be more picky.
