  1. He definitely is, but he’s just never gonna be healthy. It just is what it is. And I believe you’re absolutely right about Sheets.
  2. Dude, you’re getting way too upset about this. People are mocking a non-story. It’s not a big deal.
  3. I’m guessing you meant to quote WestEddy? My opinion of Crochet is that he’s already been ruined and the best we can hope for is a marginal major leaguer.
  4. None of that is surprising at all, yet it’s still incredibly depressing to see the drop put into numbers.
  5. How is it a “fun development” though. He’s simply the only option that’s been on the team. We have no ace and we don’t even have a #1 starter by any decent team’s standards, so you go with the guy who’s been on the team the longest. You are correct that it’s a lost season. That’s why the reactions are mostly people who just don’t care. The ones getting upset or defensive are likely just doing it as a coping mechanism due to the repeated failures of the franchise. The people upset about it are Randy Quaid in Major League. The people who don’t care are all the empty seats around him.
  6. I don’t have strong feelings on this move one way or the other. I will tell you one thing though. The Sox were funny/entertaining bad last year. I was beginning to think this year’s team would be more untalented bad, as in they’d play decent defense and the basics, but they would be outclassed by more talented teams. I’m beginning to think they’ll be funny bad again.
  7. Don’t we frequently have that exact issue with multiple players on this team?
  8. You called this one. The bullpen is gonna get fucked for the rest of the season on day freaking one.
  9. I think it’s mostly Chicago-based, but more superstition than anything else. People seem to just believe that he can’t be good because he’s going to the Bears.
  10. No you won’t, just like everyone else saying that. If they tried to do right by Fields at the expense of the team, they should all be fired and no team should give them a second chance.
  11. Everyone besides a decent percent of Bears fans did. I think very little of him as a QB, and this is embarrassing.
  12. The f***? Very glad I don’t know any details about that.
  13. I’m sure he meant in terms of a professional athlete that is doing his job well, not infidelity in general.
  14. Heaven help me, I think I understood a Caulfield joke. He’s making a comment on the misspelling of Hahn as Hanh, which is more Vietnamese looking (as in Banh Mi).
  15. Oh, I don’t think I was around then. But I can see the similarities without having ever read it haha.
  16. I’m not sure they’ll crack 60 wins though. I’m actually not sure what you’re referring to 😆 Which?
  17. So a 4-month-old thread with close to 400 pages of discussion and anticipation ends with an underwhelming, if not so-so, trade. Ah, is there anything more appropriate for the Sox?
  18. Have you heard our Vice President speak? Sorry to bring politics into the conversation, but I think we can all agree that she wins the nonsensical word salad Olympics.
  19. I understand where you’re coming from. Poles may decide to hold onto him if other teams are offering embarrassingly low returns.
  20. At whose feet does that fall, though? I would have to say JR, as he is responsible for TLR and Grifol.
  21. Out of curiosity, who or what do you blame for the toxic situation?
  22. Gave up Twitter for lent. Can someone let me know what this is about?
  23. I’m positive that they can trade him. But I’d temper your expectations on the return at this point.
  24. People seriously wanted to stick with Fields at QB, and here we are with seemingly no teams willing to give up anything of value for him. That’s about right with the Bears. And the McCaskeys are cheaping out on their planned stadium? I’m sure we’re all shocked.
