I get your point, but anyone who denies that the manager has a huge impact on the team and that Ozzie has been atrocious in his managing (and that this has a huge impact on games and has possibly cost the Sox quite a few) is delusional.

As good? So Lou makes idiotic moves all the time? Not good to know. I don't know much about Lou's in-game managing, so I wouldn't make any assumptions. I don't criticize Ozzie's rant simply because he made it (although he went far over the line, IMO, much farther than I've ever heard Lou go, he was melodramatic, even), mainly just that he's called out his players for being hard to work with and trashing them when he's made a ton of f***-ups this year (and last year, too) and has been just as big a problem overall.

Huh. I don't see why we can't send down the atrocious Andy Gonzalez, put Fields back at 3rd where he belongs, and then let Sweeney play in CF/LF.

I haven't watched many Cubs games this year, but I'd assume Lou is a better manager than Ozzie. I don't see the purpose of your comparison.

I find it funny Ozzie is mouthing off and bad-mouthing his players when he's a part of the overall problem. I understand why some people liked hearing this, but IMO he should keep his mouth shut, at least until he actually becomes a good manager.

Was that Kinsler that tripped over 1st base? The guy trips over first, goes flying and lands practically on his face, slips slightly while trying to GET UP, and still cruises into 2nd. That's one of the funniest things I've ever seen, and boy did I laugh, even in the midst of one of the most brutal games I've ever subjected myself to watching.

Boy, do we have some "young talent" or what? This has been an absolutely brutal game. Just watching Fields in LF has been a headache (I really don't get why everyone thinks it's such a good idea. Stupid if you ask me). Richar and Owens contributed two of the worst swings (or just the at-bats entirely) I've ever seen watching baseball (yes, worse than any swing I can recall Uribe taking, at least in a long time) IN THE SAME INNING. Yeesh.

Uh, last I heard everyone said he wouldn't be back because of his contract status. Has something changed or is it due to the surgery?

If you actually read my post or payed attention to many games this year you'd know he's put quite a lot of "pussy shots" into the outfield for base hits. Posters with manners like yours disgust me. And I love how the only posts I see in response to posts complimenting Erstad are meaningless insults.

I normally respect you but you're acting like an ass. So he has a lack of "leadership" for being injured? Uribe has very few cluth hits this year, if many hiyts at ALL worth noting. Erstad has done it most of the time he's played. Erstad's defense has been solid this year. Uribe's has slumped.
