QUOTE (iamshack @ May 6, 2012 -> 08:19 AM) That's exactly what I was thinking, too...Because this is the exact roster we will have for the next 7 years. Well we both know Kenny never trades anyone, and he always has the same roster. With caulfields predictions of doom and death, and fathom's worrisome assessment of Robin Ventura through 26 games, and Marty needing to trade everyone and anyone, we should really start to think about the Sox quitting the AL and moving to the Independent league. -

You know what we should do? We should project everything based on what happened two days ago and expect nothing else to happen, ever. that is what we should do. -
It sucks for mark that he has to go the distance to get a win

Yea I definitely see Jones in the 7th and then 8th inning relief roles in the future if he has found his command. He throws 98 mph like it is nothing. -

QUOTE (Jake @ May 5, 2012 -> 08:31 PM) Nate Jones and his 98mph fastball AND superior offspeed pitches have something to say about that I think Nate Jones has been pretty good, but iirc he had a lot of control issues in the minors. I would rather Reed do the job that he did all through college. -
So they said that ball, which cleared the bleachers, went 422 feet. The Centerfield fence is 420 feet from home plate. There is no way in hell that ball went only 422 feet

422 feet???? STFU

Papa Grande no dancy today

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 5, 2012 -> 05:18 PM) Send BOTH of those guys to Charlotte if Morel is THAT bad. Might as well play Dallas McPherson or Conor Jackson. Seems that Morel's shaky confidence has already been destroyed, regardless. You would play Conor Jackson at 3rd? Lol, ok.

Tim McCarver is such an idiot. I can't even blame his mistakes on old age, he has always been like this.

The world has ended. I love lamp. That is all. -
And I don't want to say Mike James would be winning games for the Bulls, but at this point you have to look at all of your options instead of sinking with what you keep throwing out there. It simply isn't working. CJ decided to become ChokeJ, so you have to move on.
-
Since CJ Watson disappeared and JL3 wants to dribble out the shot clock and play 1 on 1, free Mike James. That is all

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 4, 2012 -> 06:47 PM) Well allegedly Resindorf offered Jackson a contract that would have made him the top paid coach, but Jackson rejected it. With regard to Pippen on the Rockets, he was traded there, but from what I recall he made it clear he did not want to back with the Bulls. He rejected it after Krause and Reinsdorf dicked him around back and forth. Same thing with Pippen, everyone complained that Krause/Reinsdorf never wanted to pay anyone what they were worth and negotiated in bad faith. And that is why free agents iced out the Bulls for damn near 10 years.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 4, 2012 -> 06:21 PM) Wait. What? The Bulls were seriously on their last legs after 97-98. They were NOT going to win 3 or 4 more titles. That team, sure. It could have been rebuilt around MJ and Pip.
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 4, 2012 -> 05:15 PM) Jenks, I dont think anyone is quite sure what happened. In my opinion I always felt that Pippen wanted to get out of Jordan's shadow and show the world how great he was, Jackson wanted more power and wanted to show up Krause. Reinsdorf was put in the position of either defending his friend Krause, or giving into Jackson. If you read between the lines there basically was an ultimatum, get rid of Krause or we wont come back. Honestly Badger I do not remember any of it being about Pippen. From what I remember, everyone hated Krause, and Krause/Reinsdorf did not want to pay Phil like a Superstar coach. MJ said he wasn't sticking around without Phil, Phil said he was done negotiating with Jerry squared, and Krause thought everyone was too old and that he could rebuild because he was that smart and completely discounted the fact that the players in the NBA saw it as a s***ty move. Besides, if Pippen wanted to be out of MJs shadow, then why did he join the Rockets to play with Barkley, Clyde and Hakeem? Why would he immediately go play second fiddle somewhere else?
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 4, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) There's a lot of good nuggets in there. The best/most annoying one? Honestly, it's crazy how much NBA scouting has changed in just the last 10 years. I blame Krause as much as the guy in charge. Kruase was always trying to be smarter than everyone else because he lucked out with Kukoc. He kept drafting a bunch of foreign nobodies that never did s*** like Dragan Tarlac
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 4, 2012 -> 09:28 AM) Hah...Daniel Hudson? Universally panned move, no? I would hope that KW would learn from that mistake rather than repeat it
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 4, 2012 -> 09:21 AM) It's May 3rd...the weather has sucked, the team has struggled at home, the Hawks were in the playoffs, now the Bulls are in the playoffs...let's see if they can get on a roll here and see if things improve... As for Viciedo, besides the fact that he is a favorite of KWs, I don't know how you could rule him out as a trade piece if we were to be in contention... Of course with KW anyone is a trade piece, but unloading a potentially great bat that is under control for up to 5 more years doesn't seem like a very smart move.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 3, 2012 -> 07:11 PM) Spiderman trailer out on ITunes. Seriously, it's not even built yet, and you are already ripping the spire off of One World Trades? Didnt know a fake Oscorp building was One World Trades

QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ May 3, 2012 -> 09:20 PM) man, I never realized it was an acronym, and I've been around here for a while. I always thought it was a running joke when Buehrle got lit up that they were saying that he was pitching like a minor leaguer. Yea, it was an argument between a lot of posters about him being the Sox ace. Some people felt he was, those that didn't created that acronym for when he got tattooed by some of those high OBP teams that looked at a lot of pitches. -

QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ May 3, 2012 -> 09:10 PM) It means that John Danks belongs in AA right now. It was a running joke each time Buehrle got lit up like a Christmas tree. Lol no it doesn't. Ginger kid spelled it out.
