  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 10:38 PM) Of COURSE, the McDonald hit killed us, especially with 2 outs. But the entire tenor of the entire game changes if we take a 3-0 lead early. We can argue about it, it can't be proven, it's just one of those things you feel in your gut from having watched and listened to hundreds of baseball games in a lifetime. I don't believe there is an argument at all. Your opinion is a 3 run lead in the first inning would have mattered against what this offense did against Danks. Fine, take 3 runs in that first inning, it doesn't matter, the Sox still lose by 5 tonite. Homerun or not, Danks was awful tonite. AJs at bat wouldn't have changed that
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 09:48 PM) Turning point of this game was AJ's early double not going out of the park... LMAO Wat?!! The turning point in the game was a first inning double not being a homerun? It wasn't the sixth inning when Danks loaded the bases with a 3-2 lead and promptly gave up a double to MacDonald? So the Sox should have lost 10-4 instead of 10-3? Lol
  3. Danks reminds me of 06 Vazquez. The Sox would be winning by a few, Vazquez would be cruising/dominating through 5, and then he would get demolished in the 6th inning while we would all be screaming to get the pen up. Except with Danks, it isn't the 6th inning, it is the inning immediately following the Sox taking a lead.
  4. QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 08:53 PM) New ownership is your only hope people. What a pathetic minor league baseball club. Oh hey Sox are losing look who shows up to rip ownership

  7. Apparently Dantiel Daniels has decided to stay at SIU. No decision has been announced but (supposedly) his mom is posting on the Salukitalk website and she said he is staying. This is really good news
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 07:44 PM) Clearly it means Mike Lavalliere is not an athlete But I like spanky

  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 05:41 PM) There should be an automatic 10 year moratorium on reboots IMO. Imo you would complain about it either way
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 05:35 PM) To be fair, the last version was awful. Both of the recent movies as well as the early 90s tv movie attempt(that never was released) were awful. There has not been a good Fantastic 4 presentation
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 05:18 PM) It's getting to the point where we're going to have reboots done within the same year of the original. Sheesh. I don't mind them rebooting movies that sucked bigtime.
  14. I think Pops wins over Thibs because no coach has won it twice in a row. However, I see them both as equally deserving
  15. very sad. Hawk is going to lose it tonite, this is fact
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 11:55 AM) Your Aunt does have balls. yes, yours. in her purse.
  17. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that tourists from Chicago were involved
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 08:46 AM) Same with Beckham. Although the majority of his homers were to LF, his true "happy spot" was the RCF gap for a double. Same with Carlos Quentin when he was REALLY going well, actually. Remember when Brian Anderson hit 2 homers off Felix Hernandez in Seattle? How many times did KW say that Anderson could put up Torii Hunter numbers if he just played everyday....20-24 homers, 65-85 RBI's? And no power probably explains why there's probably never been a single thread about Eduardo Escobar, lol. Even Flowers and Lillibridge get their own uniquely-loyal segments of the fanbase excited. Yeah, their parents
  19. My friend texted me that Scouts graded out McClellin a 92, Chandler 94, Mercilous 89. Hopefully Emery got a surprise here

  21. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 11:01 PM) yeah. and Mike Caruso turned out really great with... wait what? oh... oh there are just as many examples on either side of the coin? oh, well ok then... Maybe if Caruso didnt like the mary jane so much, he would have realized his potential. Bottom line for me is, Im not ready to cash in the chips on Viciedo after his first April in the majors.
  22. Sorry kjshoe espn.go.com/dallas/ncb/story/_/id/7859037/tim-jankovich-agrees-smu-coach-waiting
  23. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 10:10 AM) When Matt lost that game to Oakland the run scoring double hit right on the line. Another couple inches or so and it would have been a foul ball. Plus maybe in that game Floyd shouldn't have been allowed to pitch the 8th? you know, if my Aunt had balls she would be my Uncle. It landed fair.
